This document discusses techniques for processing and presenting data. It explains that data should be edited to check for accuracy and consistency, coded to organize qualitative data numerically, and tabulated by arranging it in tables. The document then describes three methods for presenting data: textual presentation using paragraphs, tabular presentation arranging data in tables, and graphical presentation using visuals like charts and graphs. It provides examples of each presentation method and emphasizes that data should be logically organized and clearly presented to facilitate interpretation.
This document provides guidance on creating effective graphics to accompany written articles. It discusses the importance of understanding the data and context before presenting it visually. Key tips include having a clear purpose for the graphic, asking questions to ensure the appropriate comparisons or explanations are shown, vetting the data thoroughly, and collaborating with editors and designers. The document also lists seven important questions graphic creators should ask themselves to determine the best way to visually convey essential information to readers.
This document outlines a daily lesson log for a 7th grade mathematics class. The objectives are for students to draw conclusions from graphic and tabular data on measures of central tendency and variability. The lesson content includes graphic and tabular data on these measures. Learning resources listed include textbooks, additional materials, and a laptop/LCD projector. The procedures describe introducing, demonstrating, practicing, and evaluating the concepts. The reflection section considers student performance and ways to improve instruction.
This document provides an overview of statistics as a subject. It begins by defining statistics as both numerical data and statistical methods. It then discusses various types of data including primary and secondary data. Key aspects of working with data are covered such as classification, tabulation, presentation, analysis, and interpretation. The importance of statistics in fields like business, economics, and education is highlighted. Limitations of statistics and causes of distrust are also reviewed.
This document provides an overview of data collection methods for research. It discusses:
1) The importance of data collection as the process of gathering information to answer research questions. Both qualitative and quantitative methods are described.
2) Common qualitative methods include interviews, observations, documents, and focus groups. Quantitative methods involve surveys, questionnaires, and probability sampling.
3) The document outlines different ways to present collected data, including tables, bar charts, pie charts, scatter plots, and line graphs. These visual representations make complex data easier to understand.
4) The final sections discuss how data science can help solve problems and briefly compare social science and science approaches to data collection.

Abstract—Big data and cloud computing, which can help
China to implement innovation-driven development strategy and
promote industrial transformation and upgrading, is a new and
emerging industrial field in China. Educated, productive and
healthy workforces are necessary factor to develop big data and
cloud computing industry, especially top talents are essential.
Therefore, a three-step method named 3-F has been introduced
to help describing the distribution of top talents globally and
making decision whether they are needed in China. The 3-F
method relies on calculating the brain gain index to analysis the
top talent introduction demand of a country. Firstly, Focus on the
high-frequency keywords of a specific field by retrieving the
highly cited papers. Secondly, using those keywords to Find out
the top talents of this specific field in the Web of Science. Finally,
Figure out the brain gain index to estimate whether a country
need to introduce top talents of a specific field abroad. The result
showed that the brain gain index value of China's big data and
cloud computing field was 2.61, which means China need to
introduce top talents abroad. Besides P. R. China, those top
talents mainly distributed in the United States, the United
Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands and France.

Crissy Turner - Information Literacy Lesson Plan - FRIT 7136cjturner011075
The document is a lesson plan for a 3rd grade information literacy lesson. The lesson teaches students about the levels and branches of the US government by having them create infographics using the website Piktochart. Students will use resources provided by the school librarian to fill out graphic organizers about the levels and branches of government. They will then use the information from the organizers to create their infographics. The librarian and teacher will assess the infographics for accuracy and provide a rubric for self-assessment.
This document provides an introduction to basic statistics concepts. It instructs students to collect data on the ages of classmates, organize it into a frequency table or graph, and answer questions about the distribution of ages. The document explains that statistics involves gathering, arranging, and presenting numeric data systematically, such as through tables, graphs or by sorting data in ascending or descending order. It defines statistics as the study of collecting, analyzing and interpreting data to address research questions.
This document discusses different methods for presenting and interpreting data from research studies. It describes editing, classifying, tabulating and charting data as key steps in data processing. Tabular presentation of data should include a title, columns and rows with captions, units of measurement, and totals. Graphical methods like line graphs, bar graphs and pie charts can visually display relationships in the data. Interpretation involves analyzing tabulated and computed data to draw meaningful conclusions regarding the research questions. Textual, tabular and graphical techniques are important for clearly communicating findings.

Campus Budget assignment
Objective:
In EDAD 5384, Resource Management in Education, you have learned about school finance, methods of budgeting, and procedures for resource acquisition and allocation. For the campus budget project (course final), you will demonstrate your mastery of these concepts by developing and coding a plan for addressing an academic problem on your campus. Your evaluation of Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) or other longitudinal campus data, along with your approach to strategic problem solving for the challenges described below, will formulate the basis for your budgeting decisions.
Instructions:
Part 1: Identifying and Addressing the Problem
You have been offered a budget of $250,000 specifically for targeted improvement on your campus.
1. Identify longitudinal data to address a targeted area of growth on your campus for either reading or math performance. What longitudinal student data would you use to identify the problem? Provide examples of data used and describe the problem that you are addressing.
2. Identify resources you would use to address the problem. Describe your plan to address the problem. Provide a planning document (including timeline, checkpoints and specific action steps) of your overall plan to address the problem.
3. Describe how you would address your stakeholders to include them in your planning process. Include a sample agenda for a stakeholder meeting.
4. Explain how much of the budget would be allocated to personnel (i.e. tutoring, content specialists) or materials (technology supports or instructional materials for students).
5. Make a chart of how you would code at least 5 expenditures for this task using the 20-digit coding structure provided by TEA.
Part 2: Reporting Progress
Imagine that you made significant progress on this issue. Write a brief follow-up report to be shared at your stakeholder meeting. In your narrative, explain your problem-solving process and your rationale for the budget.

U4D2 - Action Learning Methods and Assessment Planning Tools
Imagine you had all the right people in the room and did all of the right data gatherings.
However, you did not ask the right action learning questions to gain insights into stakeholder information that can suggest the acquisition of new
programmed knowledge management to shape organizational capacity of service delivery systems?
Here is your chance to think about what you need to know.
Based on the guidelines in your Bridging the Gap Between Asset/Capacity Building and Needs Assessment text, ABC Learning e-book, and other sources you can cite, what is the action learning questions that you should ask on
the assessment planning tools for systems changes to address your community-based problems?
What would you like to know but cannot figure out how to ask? This will build toward your the final assignment.
List some action learning and assessment planning questions, and define what you would like to know but do not know how to ask.
OBJECTIVES
To successfully complete this learning unit, you will be expected to:
1. Evaluate the effectiveness of programmed knowledge management to determine current action learning needs.
2. Assess literature-based data gathering methods as one of the components of public needs assessments.
3. Devise an action learning mechanism for gathering other sources of community data from stakeholders on the current state of community needs to support needs assessment projects.
4. Apply action learning methods of systemic inquiry to develop assessment planning tools for systems changes to address community-based problems.
5. Design effective action learning of needs assessment analysis to gain insight into new information not yet obvious on a public problem.

There are three main measures of central tendency:
1. The mean is the average and is calculated by adding all values and dividing by the total number of values. It is affected by outliers.
2. The median is the middle value when data is arranged in order. It is not affected by outliers.
3. The mode is the most frequent value in the data set. Data can have more than one mode. It indicates the category with the highest frequency but does not account for all values.
The main differences are that the mean can be affected by outliers, the median is not affected by outliers, and the mode
A confidence interval provides a range of values that is likely to include an unknown population parameter, based on a given confidence level. A 95% confidence level means there is a 95% chance the interval contains the true population parameter. Confidence intervals are useful because they allow researchers to account for sampling error/variability and make inferences about populations based on sample data. The higher the confidence level, the wider the interval needs to be to achieve that level of confidence.
This document outlines a lesson on describing data that involves students collecting and summarizing their own data. The lesson begins with students privately providing their height, weight, and other information to create an anonymous data set. Students then discuss statistical versus non-statistical questions and practice identifying the types of questions. They collect small amounts of additional data in groups to explore variation. Finally, students imagine summarizing larger data sets using graphs, charts, and summary statistics. The goal is for students to understand that data varies and can be organized to answer statistical questions.
This document provides an overview of statistics as a field of study. It defines statistics as both the plural and singular form, describing aggregates of numerical data and the science dealing with collecting, organizing, and interpreting numerical data. The two main branches of statistics are described as descriptive statistics, which describes what is occurring in a data set, and inferential statistics, which allows making generalizations about a larger population based on a sample. Key terms like data, variables, population, sample, and parameter are also defined. The stages of a statistical investigation and applications, uses, and limitations of statistics are summarized.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can

What’s In
In school, you have been receiving your report card in tables. Now, try to think that
your report cards are printed in a textual format. Your grades and remarks about you are presented
in a paragraph format instead of data tables. It is confusing, isn’t it? Also, try to imagine a scenario
that the grades of each member of your class in all subjects is in paragraph format too. Would you
read the lengthy pages? Will you be able to understand easily the data presented? Probably, you
will answer “No!” to both. That is why data must be presented correctly and clearly. This will be
the focus of this lesson.
In the previous lesson, you were presented with ways on how to gather your data. This
lesson will present how to encode and organize collected data for systematic purposes. In
process, you will need to edit, code, tabulate and summarize information through graphs and
tables for presentation and interpretation purposes.

What Is It
Techniques in Data Processing
Remember to organize your data based on your research questions. The data
processing involves three actions: editing, coding, and tabulation.
Editing is a process where the collected data are checked. At this stage, handling data
with honesty should be employed. When you edit it is expected that you will not change, omit,
or makeup information if you think that the data you collected is insufficient or does not meet
your personal expectations. The main purpose of editing is for checking the consistency,
accuracy, organization, and clarity of the data collected. Data editing can be done manually
like traditional tallying or with the assistance of a computer or combination of both.
Coding is a process where the collected data are categorized and organized. It is
usually done in qualitative research. In quantitative research, coding is done to assign
numerical value to specific indicator especially if it is qualitative in nature. This numerical value
will be useful when you are going to analyze your data using statistical tool. Just make sure
that the categories created are aligned with your research questions. Consider the following
example.
Tabulation is a process of arranging data. In many studies, table is used to do this
process. Tabulation can be done manually or electronically using MS Excel. Again, organize
the data based on your research questions. Before inputting your data into the table, it will be
helpful to review your statistics class on how to arrange data according to the statistical
techniques you will use. Take note that the digital tool you are going to use will also matter on
how you are going to tabulate your data; like MS Excel, Minitab, or other digital tools have
different ways of entering your data. Correct arrangement of your data will be helpful during
actual data analysis.
7. 3
Presentation and Interpretation of Data
▪ The next step after editing, coding, and tabulating the data is to present, analyze, and
interpret them. Presentation is the process of organizing data into logical, sequential and
meaningful categories and classifications to make them amenable to study and interpretation.
The common techniques being used to present data results are textual, tabular, and
graphical methods. These three provide an initial analysis of the data.
I. Textual Presentation of Data
Textual presentation use words, statements or paragraphs with numerals, numbers or
measurements to describe data. They can also be used independently to describe the data
when there are very few quantities or numbers. They can also be used to compare data using
paragraphs for the discussion. Here are some examples:
Sample 1
There are 17 administrative regions in the Phili[[pines. The largest
administrative region in terms of population size is Region IV-A (CALABARZON) with
16,195,042 persons. It is followed by the National Capital Region (NCR) with
13,484,462 and Region III (Central Luzon) with 12,422,172. The combined population
of these three regions accounted for about 38.6 percent of the Philippine population
in 2020. The three least populated regions were the Cordillera Administrative Region
(CAR) with 1,797,660; Region XIII (Caraga) with 2,804,788; and MIMAROPA Region
with 3,228,558.
Sample 2
Of the 1,178 barangays in CAR, the largest in terms of population size is
Irisan in the City of Baguio, Benguet with 36,562 persons. It was followed by Pico in
La Trinidad, Benguet with 25,790 persons, and Bulanao in the City of Tabuk, Kalinga
with 21,522 persons. The rest of the top ten most populous barangays in the region
are all located in the province of Benguet.
II. Tabular Presentation of Data
Table is the simplest way of summarizing a set of observations. A table has rows
and columns containing data, which can be in the form of absolute numbers or
percentages, or both.
A good table should include the following parts:
1. Table number–This is placed above the table.
2. Title- The title is usually written right after the table number.
3. Caption subhead –this refers to columns and rows.
4. Body –it contains all the data under each subhead.
5. Source- when using data obtained from a secondary source, this source has to be
acknowledged.
8. 4
Here are some examples:
Tabular Presentation of Data Sample
To
interpret the tables, one needs to do the following:
• Analyze the connections among the details of the headings.
• Check the unusual pattern of the data and determine the reason behind these.
• Begin with the table number and the title.
• Present the significant figures (overall results, high and low values, the
unusualpattern).
• Refrain from repeating again what’s inside the table.
• Support your findings with literature and studies that confirms or contrasts your
results.
• Establish the practical implications of the results. This will add value to your
research findings.
• End with a brief generalization.

Looking at Table 3, there is a significant relationship between the classroom
interaction that facilitates positive discipline and sense belonging (r(39 = .973, p = 0.000).
The feeling of being safeand welcome in school is significantly related to how the
teachers manage classroom interaction. This result is supported by the early studies on
classroom management by Brophy and Avertson (1976) that though variety of teaching
behaviors affect effective teaching; classroom management appeared to be one of the
most critical aspects as viewed by students.

On average, students devote 4.5 hours perday to theiravocation. Basedon the
table, people who engage themselves with social media as a hobby spend the most
hours with an average of 5.8 hours, followed by videogameswith an average of 5.4
hours spent, watching with an average of 4.7 hours spent, literature with an average of
4.1 hours spent, sports with an average of 3.5 hours, and finally arts with students who do
arts spending the least time with an average of 3.4 hours. Based on the table, students
whose hobbies are either video gaming, social media or watching spend most of their
time partaking intheir hobbies. These three hobbies have something common in
difference, ofwhich all require the use of an electronic device. According to Anderson
(2018), teenagers spend most of their time on electronic devices and social media. This
may be a reason for the three said hobbies having the highest average time spent.

III. Graphical Methods of Presenting Data
A graph or chart portrays the visual presentation of data using symbols such as lines,
dots, bars or slices. It depicts the trend of a certain set of measurements or shows comparison
between two or more sets of data or quantities.
A good graph or chart shows that the x and y axis has a heading and units are
included. The figure number and title are usually placed below the figure. The known value
is plotted on the x-axis and the measured value is plotted on the y-axis. This description
of a good chart excludes pie charts.
Some examples of charts/graphs are discussed in the next pages. Guidelines and
examples are provided to guide you on deciding what type of graph or chart to use in
presenting research reports.
A. Line Graph
A line graph is a graphical presentation of data that show a continuous change or
trend. It may be an ascending or descending trend or change over time.
