LIGHT FIDELITY
17/01/2017
INTRODUCTION
 Li-Fi is a wireless optical networking technology that
uses light-emitting diodes(LEDs) for data transmission.
 Li-Fi is design to use LED light bulb similar to those
currently in use in many energy-consigns homes &
offices.
 Li-Fi data is transmitted by the LED bulbs and received
by photoreceptors.

HOW LI-FI IS DIFFERENT ???
 Li-Fi technology is based on LEDs for the transfer of
data.
 Also the speed of the internet is incredibly high and you
can download movies, games, music etc. in just a few
minutes with the help of this technology.
 You can simply stand under any form of light and surf
the internet as the connection is made in case of any light
presence. There cannot be anything better than this
technology.

ADVANTAGES OF LI-FI
 It is possible to achieve speed more than 10Gbps.
 Transmission of data is fast & easy.
 It main advantages is it’s bandwidth is 10,000 times
than the radio waves.
 Mostly powered by LED’s so it is cost efficient.
 Green information technology.
 Can be used in hospitals and even under water.
 Secure.

APPLICATIONS OF LI-FI
 Vehicles & transportations.
 Under water communications.
 Hospitals & healthcare.
 Smart lighting.
 Mobile connectivity.
 Traffic lights.
 Airlines.

APPLICATION AREAS
1. TRAFFIC LIGHTS :
 Traffic lights can
communicate to the car and
with each other. Cars have
LED-based headlights and
cars can communicate with
each other and prevent
accidents in by exchanging
information.

2. AIRLINES :
 Whenever we travel
through airways we face
the problem in
communication media,
because the whole airways
use radio waves. To
overcome this drawback on
radio waves , Li-FI is
introduced.

3. UNDER WATER :
 Li-Fi can even work
under water were Wi-Fi
fails completely, there
by its very much useful
for military/navigation
operation.

CONCLUSION
 Overcomes the limitations of radio spectrum.
 High speed 10Gbps can be achieved.
 We will proceed toward the cleaner, greener, safer and
brighter future.
 This may solve issues such as the shortage of radio
frequency bandwidth.
 Allows internet where traditional radio based wireless
isn’t allowed such as aircraft or hospitals.
