The green revolution in India began in the 1960s when high-yielding varieties of wheat and rice were introduced, along with increased usage of fertilizers and irrigation. This led to a major increase in food grain production, allowing India to become self-sufficient in food production and eventually a food exporter, establishing it as one of the world's largest agricultural producers. The green revolution boosted the economy and improved living standards.

for agriculture worker but also industrial worker. But
the creation of laterel facilites such as factories and
hydro electric power stations help to uplift social as
well as ecnomic condition

8.  India transformed itself from a starving nation to an
exporter of food. Green revolution was one of factor
that made MRS Indira Gandhi a very powerfull force in
