Utilization of waste plastic in manufacturing of bricks GuttiPavan
The document describes a study on utilizing waste plastic to manufacture bricks. Plastic waste is collected from various sources and mixed with cement and sand. The mixture is burned at 90-110 degrees Celsius to melt and bind the materials. The resulting substance is molded into brick shapes. Tests on the plastic bricks show they are similar in size, shape, color and hardness to traditional bricks. They also show no efflorescence or breakage when sounded. The bricks help reduce environmental pollution from plastic waste and lower overall construction costs. Further research is suggested to use plastic bricks in partitions, benches and tracks as alternatives to traditional materials.

Organizations of all sizes using automation and agile methodologies to improve the speed and reliability of their software development initiatives. In this session we will provide an overview and demonstrations of the various ways you can integrate Black Duck Hub with your CI/CD tools to manage open source risks throughout development.
Proactive sell side due diligence to identify, inventory, assess, and, when necessary, remediate open source risks helps ensure the target company receives the best value for its products in an M&A event (and avoid lawsuits). Discovering these problems late in the game can dramatically affect the final purchase price, trigger the need for additional/longer/enhanced escrows, delay closing or even cause an acquisition to be called off altogether.
The Hub builds on all the great technology developed in the Black Duck Suite over the past 10 years combined with a revamped UI and an integrated set of features. It's much easier than you would think to make the move from the Suite to the Hub. Learn how in this revealing session.
Docker is revolutionizing the way organizations build and deploy applications. But while containers make it easier to development teams to package applications with all their dependencies, they make it harder for operations teams to control what software is deployed into production. In this session you will see how Black Duck Hub helps development and operations teams maintain complete visibility and control of the open source in their containers.

Municipal Accounting Reforms - Why? How? & A Case Study of IndiaRavikant Joshi
The document discusses municipal accounting reforms in India, including:
- It provides an introduction to municipal accounting reforms, which involve converting cash-based single-entry accounting systems to accrual-based double-entry systems and adopting international public sector accounting standards.
- Reforms are needed due to changing state-citizen relationships and demands for greater accountability, transparency and efficiency from citizens. They also help address changing models of financing urban development.
- India has pursued municipal accounting reforms over several decades, but implementation has been uneven, with only about 300 of over 4,000 municipalities fully adopting reformed systems. Barriers include lack of capacity and ownership at the local level.
The document discusses issues in Pakistan's economy, specifically the privatization process and debates over the efficiency of Pakistan's industrial structure. It provides details on Pakistan's privatization policies from the 1990s, including criticism that the process lacked transparency and favored some parties. It also examines a study that found Pakistan's import substitution policies distorted prices and led to inefficiencies, though some counter that the study overstated issues. In conclusion, there is agreement Pakistan's protectionist policies created inefficiencies in its industrial development.

Lhasa, Cultural heritage, Urban Transformation and Human RightsTryambakesh Shukla
The document summarizes the history and changes to Lhasa, Tibet since China took control in 1951. It describes how Lhasa was historically the political and religious center of Tibet, home to important sites like the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple. After 1951, Lhasa experienced rapid population growth and development that demolished many historic buildings. This resulted in the loss of Lhasa's traditional architecture and neighborhoods, threatening its cultural identity. The document discusses the impacts on Tibetan culture and lifestyle and debates how future planning can balance development while preserving Lhasa's cultural heritage and character.

It outlines government sanitation programs and policies at rural and urban levels aimed at improving access to toilets and sanitation facilities. Key issues discussed include lack of access for rural and urban poor, as well as best practices in community-led total sanitation programs.
The document discusses the Delhi Master Plan 2021 and its focus on making the city more pedestrian friendly. It proposes enhancing pedestrian facilities around major work centers. It also aims to upgrade Delhi's urban transport to international standards by decongesting several areas and increasing access to public transit. Specifically, it proposes pedestrianizing historically important areas like Connaught Place, Chandni Chowk and Karol Bagh. The document also examines the AIIMS flyover junction in Delhi and how it has negatively impacted pedestrian connectivity and increased walking distances for visitors to the hospital.
