The document discusses the feedback received at different stages of creating a movie. During the planning stage, the filmmakers created a questionnaire to gauge interest in the storyline and identify similar existing movies. This helped them make changes before production. During production, minor changes were made based on feedback, such as adding context for the main character. Near completion, another questionnaire identified a need for more sound. After finishing, a final questionnaire found that most would watch the movie and it appealed to younger audiences due to its empowering female lead.
The document summarizes the findings of audience research conducted on a film trailer. It found that the intended target age range of 17-18 responded positively to the trailer. Females were more interested due to the mostly-female cast and psychological thriller perspective. People of all ethnic backgrounds expressed interest. The trailer successfully conveyed the intended psychological action thriller genre without revealing the full plot or ending. However, some said the music could be improved and more footage might reveal too much.
Jake Hardy created feedback forms to gather audience opinions on a film project to help improve it. The form was initially paper-based but was converted to a PowerPoint slide for online sharing. Three feedback responses were provided - two rated the film highly and enjoyed the storyline and music respectively, while suggesting faster pacing and different music. The third response also rated it highly and suggested shortening a forest scene. All recommended targeting audiences aged 15-25.
The document summarizes how the filmmakers attracted their target audience for a thriller film. They conducted a questionnaire that asked people about their favorite thriller elements and films. Most people said they enjoyed the thriller Se7en. The filmmakers then shaped their film to include similar thriller elements that audiences preferred, like suspense, scary scenes, plot twists, and an original storyline. They also tailored their main characters based on audience feedback to attract viewers. Screening the film for some audiences, the filmmakers received positive feedback that it left viewers wondering what would happen next through cliffhangers and character developments.
The document discusses the evaluation of a short film project from pre-production through post-production. In the pre-production stage, the filmmakers conducted audience research through questionnaires to determine the target age group (15 rating), genres (supernatural thriller), and settings. Based on feedback, changes were made to simplify the storyline and conduct a larger survey. A post-production questionnaire provided feedback on music choices, genres, potential platforms, and ways to improve through adding context and a bullying scene. The filmmakers incorporated this feedback by adding dialogue and monologues to clarify intentions and the use of magic abilities.
Abbie, Megan and the author interviewed various people to get feedback on their thriller film storyline and ways to improve it. They asked questions about preferences in the thriller genre, ability to relate to characters, favorite thriller films, thoughts on the original narrative, and effective ways to open a thriller film. The audience feedback showed they like unpredictable films with twists that keep them on the edge of their seats, and can relate more to characters of their same sex. They provided examples of favorite films and said the narrative did not need improvement. Most would see the film but one person said it seemed too "girly" for them to enjoy in the cinema.
1) The document analyzes the results of a questionnaire given to the target audience for a thriller film project to determine what elements appeal to them.
2) The most popular responses indicated an interest in action, comedy, spies, death, fiction over non-fiction, suspense/mystery in openings, and unpredictable storylines.
3) Examples like Taken, James Bond, and The Bourne Identity were cited as favorite films in the genre, suggesting those types of elements would be well-received.

The document provides evaluation questions for a target audience analysis of a film project. It asks how the audience was engaged through narrative theory, soundtrack, costumes, scenario and camera angles. It suggests getting feedback from the target audience and analyzing their responses. An example is provided of a film group that uploaded their initial scene to get feedback on whether it conveyed the intended messages and appealed to their audience before the deadline. They received mixed feedback, with some feeling the characters were portrayed as intended but others not realizing the vulnerability until later. They decided to change the opening scene based on this feedback and their own analysis comparing it to psychological thriller research.

It conducted research on similar films to understand audience expectations. While it includes conventions like settings in a house and school, it challenges expectations by not including a jump scare. The film both challenges and follows conventions to keep the audience engaged without being too predictable. It also explores theories around teenage subculture and building tension through mystery.
The document describes a questionnaire conducted to understand audience preferences for crime thriller films. It asked 10 people (5 male, 5 female) questions about gender, age, favorite film genres and crime thriller films, what makes a good crime thriller, common filming locations and shots, and aspects that interest viewers and keep them watching crime thrillers. The results will help the group design an engaging opening sequence that meets audience expectations for the genre.

The top 5 highest grossing films of 2012 are listed, showing a preference for action and superhero films from major production companies. Younger audiences below age 40 prefer action films, while romantic comedies appeal more to female audiences. Media companies use targeted advertising on platforms like YouTube (favored by those under 30) to promote films, commonly showing action and sci-fi trailers to those audiences. Ads are tailored based on viewer preferences to pitch appropriate films during commercial breaks.
The document discusses three film reviews that analyze the films Fantastic Beasts, Hereditary, and an unnamed film. All three reviews are formal in style, do not include spoilers, and analyze characters and actors' performances. Common features of the reviews include their formal tone, focus on characters over plot, and use of media language to critique various artistic and technical elements of the films.
The document discusses how a film targeted a psychological thriller audience aged 15+. Research was conducted on similar films to understand the genre. Audience surveys found that the title and story appealed to the target demographic. The film's setting of a modern house and family characters also aligned with the target group. Audience feedback suggested making the pace faster and adding music. The filmmakers incorporated more jump cuts and suspenseful ending, as well as weird, distorted music. To further improve, the document suggests using more shot varieties like high and low angles to emphasize characters' emotions and power dynamics.
The document discusses feedback received on a film trailer from two sources. First, peers in the author's media class watched the trailer and provided in-person feedback, which revealed that the genre was clear but speech was hard to hear and fonts needed changing. Then an online survey received more feedback, finding that the target audience recognized the genre and liked the music, but still had trouble hearing speech clearly due to technical issues. The ending was the most liked part, and respondents said they would see the film at the cinema.
Our target audience for the media product is 15-25 year olds. Research found that women preferred the film more because the lead role was a woman and the male was the victim, going against stereotypes. By using audience feedback to shape the film around a female lead and male victim, the film aims to appeal to its target demographic. The hostage situation genre is commonly felt to be overused but can make an amazing film when done right and original.
The document discusses how the filmmaker attracted and addressed their target audience of 15-25 year olds of both genders for their movie. Scenes like a woman gaining power over a man by hitting him with a kitchen tool would appeal to women, while suspenseful scenes like a bat swinging at a woman's face would attract both men and women. Camera work like close-ups during tense moments was used to address the female audience by showing vulnerability in male characters. The filmmaker aimed to make the movie appealing to both genders through a strong female lead character and suspenseful scenes.
Megan, Melissa, and Abbie conducted interviews to help improve their thriller film for their target audience. They asked interviewees questions about thriller film preferences and genres. Interviewees said they enjoy unpredictable films with plot twists that keep them on the edge of their seats. They can relate more to characters of their own sex. Interviewees provided favorite thriller films as examples and said the narrative did not need improvement. Most participate in sports and enjoy going to the cinema with friends. Jumping scenes are enjoyed as long as the film has a good plot. Stereotypes should only sometimes be challenged. The film interests most but one person would not see it in theaters as it seems too feminine.

The filmmakers designed and distributed a questionnaire to gauge audience reception of their film. The results showed that the film appealed to its intended target audience and genres like sci-fi, horror, and thriller. When planning production, the filmmakers considered this feedback to include elements like violence that would maintain a 15 rating. Music was also selected to match scenes like the intense park fight scene. While feedback on cinematography and music was positive, some comments noted the storyline was unclear and there were continuity errors with lighting. The filmmakers are taking this lesson to improve their next project.

The document summarizes feedback received from questionnaires given to audiences after viewing a draft of a thriller film created by the media group. The primary questionnaire provided positive feedback on the identifiable genre and engaging storyline. It also identified aspects that needed clarification like character backgrounds and motivations. In response, the group added a news report, flashback, and meeting scene to the film. A second questionnaire after these changes still suggested some confusion, so the group left subtle clues throughout to help the audience piece together that the main character was the assassin. The questionnaires provided constructive criticism that helped the group improve their film.

The document summarizes the filmmaker's process of gathering audience feedback at different stages of production to inform changes made to their film. This included conducting questionnaires, focus groups, and surveys before and after screenings to understand preferences around genre, plot, character representation, and pacing of scenes. Feedback indicated a preference for comedy elements and relevance, leading the filmmaker to incorporate more comedy and contextual details. Additional footage was later added to a walking sequence based on feedback that it was too short.

The document discusses the process of creating pre-production questionnaires to understand the target audience for a student film project. The filmmakers created online, video, and written questionnaires with questions about the plot, genres, music, and target age group. They received mostly positive feedback, which informed changes to make the plot more clear and suspenseful. Additional questionnaires after filming provided feedback that led to editing changes to improve understanding and pacing. The final questionnaire indicated audiences related to characters, locations were a good fit, and the genre was achieved.

The document discusses audience research conducted for a student film project. It describes establishing the target age rating and genre for the film, which was inspired by Girl Interrupted. Students created questionnaires to gather feedback on the plot from their target 15-30 age range audience on social media. Responses confirmed the genre and suggested improvements. A rough cut was shared, with feedback incorporated like adding sound effects. The final cut addressed all audience feedback to improve understanding and entertainment.
The target audience for the film is ages 15 and up, as the filmmakers thought people that age enjoy scary thriller films. Females may be particularly drawn to the film given its strong female friendships. Pre-production research involved a video questionnaire of the target demographic to understand their preferences for sound, locations, and appropriate age rating after hearing the plot. Their positive feedback validated the filmmakers' ideas and their suggestions, like using woods locations, were incorporated into planning the film to appeal to the audience.
The student learned about the importance of understanding their target audience through making a short film. They conducted questionnaires with 50 people in their target demographic to determine preferences around length, content, and platform. They also interviewed people to get feedback on the script and plot. After the film premiere, they surveyed attendees and found the film was successful in meeting expectations revealed in the pre-production research, such as having a relatable female protagonist. Conducting research helped the student design the film poster and review to appeal to their target audience.
The film industry spends money on market research and test screenings to get audience feedback, which helps them understand what types of films are popular and how to effectively promote films to different audience demographics. This allows studios to modify films to appeal more to audiences and increase box office profits. The document discusses how a film group conducted research to identify their target audience for a horror film as mainly females aged 15-25. They showed early cuts of their teaser trailer to classmates to get feedback, which revealed issues they were then able to address, like clarifying the antagonist's role, improving titles, and adding more establishing shots. They found the feedback useful to strengthen their teaser trailer.

The temple and the sanctuary around were dedicated to Asklepios Zmidrenus. This name has been known since 1875 when an inscription dedicated to him was discovered in Rome. The inscription is dated in 227 AD and was left by soldiers originating from the city of Philippopolis (modern Plovdiv).

2. Brief
■ Our target audience was teenagers as we have teenage actors in the movie. It does
however target both genders, we aimed it a women because of the strong female
leads and we aimed it at males because of the action and thriller in it. Our task was to
make a 5 minute short film and find out what the people we were targeting wanted
from their movies.
3. Planning stage
• Once we came up with an idea for the storyline we made a
questionnaire and asked people what they thought about it.
We also asked if there are any similar movies they could think
of and if they would watch it. The storyline was on the back of
questionnaire so the people could take their time in answering.
• From the answers to this questionnaire we found that after
reading the plot most of the people asked would go and watch
our movie. We also found that some could think of similar
movie to our one which helped us when we were doing our
independent research
4.
5. Planning stage
• The results we got from that questionnaire helped us to look at
what changes needed to be made once we began creating the
movie. We also used the feedback on the question of could
they think of any movie that matched our one to use in our
independent research. We used this to compare aspects our
movie and to also find conventions of the thriller genre and
that types of movies.
6. Creating stage
• During creating our movie we made a few changes due to the
first questionnaire showing that some people were confused
with some parts of the storyline. To improve that we decided to
give the main character a background story in the form of a
news report from the past, to show this we made some of the
shots black and white as that’s how most scenes from the past
are shown in other movies. We also added a meeting scene to
show why the main character was hired to kill me man in black.
7. Creating stage
■ Questionnaire answers: From our second questionnaire we found that on question 5
which asked what gender do they think the movie appeals to most people answered
either female or both.We also asked what changes we could make and most of the
answers said to add sound to our film.
8.
9. Creating stage
• Through out the movie we tried to make the audience question
who the killer is and tried to make the main character seem as
the target. However we did trop clues through the movie to see
if the audience could piece them together.
• After this we sent out the almost finished film and a
questionnaire asking people their opinions. We also asked
them what changes we could make to make the film better.
Most of the answers said we required more sound in the movie
which we were aware of all ready.
10.
11. Finishing stage
• Our movie tried to follow some of the conventions of the
thriller genre to provide the audience with some of their
expectations however we also wanted to give them something
fresh. Making a powerful female lead who did something bad
for good reasons was something that hasn't been done in many
movies yet.
• We also made one last questionnaire to ask peoples opinions
on the finished film. This was a short questionnaire to just see
what they though of our movie and if they would go and see it
in the cinema or watch it online.
12.
13. Finishing stage:
■ Questionnaire answers: In our final questionnaire we just wanted to see what people
though of our film overall and where they would go to see it.We also asked any
changes that could be made and if they would tell their friends to see it. Looking at the
answers we found that most people would watch it and some would recommend their
friends to see it.We also found that most people wouldn’t make any changes and that
they would watch it if it came out to cinemas and online.
14.
15. Conclusion
• In conclusion, from audience feed back at different stages of
our production we found that most people liked our movie and
would watch it if it was to go to cinema. We also found that it
mostly appealed to the younger generation because of the
female empowerment within the movie.
