The Importance of Training Courses Provided by the Department of Human Resour...inventionjournals
This study provides invaluable insights and information on the significance of training courses and their impact on the development of both government and business organizations. That is, the researcher highlights the relevance of training and development in the ever-changing world of service delivery, be it in private or public institution and particularly its relevance for the situation in the UAE. The study also brings out the problem statement, objectives, vision and the mission. The UAE witnesses an era of technological, social change, and unprecedented development in all spheres of life. To safeguard its sustainable development, appropriate and skilled human resources are essential to ensure the production of high quality and to implement more efficient and effective production processes based on new technologies. Thus, proactive human resources management is highly essential and highly required in the UAE in order to achieve the abovementioned change and to allow organizations in the UAE to meet the challenges today and in future. The study includes good practices in human resources management and training carried out by the various departments of human resources management throughout the world, especially in the developed countries. The study covers a range of issues about training of qualified staff and setting up training programs, to competence mapping and management development. Some of these issues have been presented at a number of seminars and workshops on human resources management and training from 2006 up to date
Students' Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) is a scheme developed for Undergraduates in NIGERIA to gain experience in the industry before graduating.
Considerable research has been conducted on the effects of various learning delivery modes in an academic environment. However, the number of studies that look into learning delivery modes effects in professional environment are scarce. In the context of a large professional public-sector organization, this research attempts to identify roles played by prospective participants’ perceptions on different learning delivery modes into their decisions on participating in organized training programs. The study focuses on Face-to-Face, Online, and Blended modes of learning to conduct research. It utilizes an online survey to collect and analyze data from past participants of administered training sessions by the organization. By incorporating a combination of qualitative as well as quantitative questions in the survey, the study collects data on participant satisfaction, familiarity, and overall perceptions on various learning delivery modes. The findings from the study identify that participants value social interaction and networking opportunities offered at a training session. It also identifies that even though participants may have their personal preferences towards various learning delivery modes, they are mostly open to the idea of learning in a different mode, provided a conducive learning environment is created.

“There is nothing training cannot do. Nothing is above its reach. It can turn
bad morals to good; it can destroy bad principles and recreate good ones; it
can lift men to angel-ship.” -Mark Twain Training is the most important
activity, which plays an important role in the development of human
resources. To put the right man at the right place with the trained personnel
has become essential in today’s globalized market. No organisation has a
choice on whether or not to develop employees. Nowadays training has
become an important function of Human Resource Management. Human
Resources are the lifeblood of any organization. Only through well-trained
personnel, can an organization achieve its goals. Human Resource
Management refers to the policies, practices and systems that influence
employees’ behaviour, attitudes, and performance. Human resource practices
play a key role in attracting, motivating, rewarding and retaining employees.
Other human resource management practices include recruiting employees,
selecting employees, designing work, compensating employees and
developing good employer-employee relations. The importance placed on
‘Training’ is great on comparison to other human resource management
practices.
Welcome to the Program Your Destiny course. In this course, we will be learning the technology of personal transformation, neuroassociative conditioning (NAC) as pioneered by Tony Robbins. NAC is used to deprogram negative neuroassociations that are causing approach avoidance and instead reprogram yourself with positive neuroassociations that lead to being approach automatic. In doing so, you change your destiny, moving towards unlocking the hypersocial self within, the true self free from fear and operating from a place of personal power and love.

25. Historical Background of the Company
The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) was established through the
enactment of Republic Act No. 7796 otherwise known as the "Technical Education and Skills
Development Act of 1994", which was signed into law by President Fidel V. Ramos on August 25,
1994. This Act aims to encourage the full participation of and mobilize the industry, labor, local
government units and technical-vocational institutions in the skills development of the country's human
resources.
The merging of the National Manpower and Youth Council (NMYC) of the Department of Labor and
Employment (DOLE). The Bureau of Technical and Vocational Education (BTVE) of the
Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS), and The Apprenticeship Program of
the Bureau of Local Employment (BLE) of the DOLE gave birth to TESDA.
26. The fusion of the above offices was one of the key recommendations of the 1991 Report
of the Congressional Commission on Education, which undertook a national review of the
state of Philippine education and manpower development. It was meant to reduce
overlapping in skills development activities initiated by various public and private sector
agencies, and to provide national directions for the country's technical-vocational
education and training (TVET) system. Hence, a major thrust of TESDA is the formulation
of a comprehensive development plan for middle-level manpower based on the National
Technical Education and Skills Development Plan. This plan shall provide for a reformed
industry-based training program that includes apprenticeship, dual training system and
other similar schemes.
27. TESDA is mandated to:
1. Integrate, coordinate and monitor skills development programs;
2. Restructure efforts to promote and develop middle-level manpower;
3. Approve skills standards and tests;
4. Develop an accreditation system for institutions involved in middle-level manpower development;
5. Fund programs and projects for technical education and skills development; and
6. Assist trainers training programs.
28. At the same time, TESDA is expected to:
Devolve training functions to local governments;
Reform the apprenticeship program;
Involve industry/employers in skills training;
Formulate a skills development plan;
Develop and administer training incentives;
Organize skills competitions; and
Manage skills development funds.
Overall, TESDA formulates manpower and skills plans, sets appropriate skills standards
and tests, coordinates and monitors manpower policies and programs, and provides policy
directions and guidelines for resource allocation for the TVET institutions in both the
private and public sectors.
29. Today, TESDA has evolved into an organization that is responsive, effective
and efficient in delivering myriad services to its clients. To accomplish its multi-
pronged mission, the TESDA Board has been formulating strategies and programs
geared towards yielding the highest impact on manpower development in various
areas, industry sectors and institutions.

Function and Duties of Employees
The function and duties of the employees is to render services to the clients and most especially to manage and supervise
technical education and skills development (TESD) in Occidental Mindoro.
50. Chapter 4
SELF-ASSESMENT
In this chapter, the student trainee comprehensively self-assessed the additional
knowledge and skills achieved during the training program
51. Achievements
a. Skills and Current technology Learned
As a trainee, there are many unfamiliar tasks at the very beginning. And I have learned a lot
of things during my OJT. I used to be familiarized especially in office work and serving the
clients day by day with their purpose such as getting the license and certificates and about
TESDA Programs and Scholarships.
b. Equipment, Machinery, etc. Handled
Handling different tools and equipment in the office is a part of on-the Job Training. By
these we become familiarize of the things we are not familiar of. And experience different
equipments used in the office. They let us operate Computers, Telephone, Typewriter, and Xerox
Machine with printer in one, and Laminating Machine.
c. Strong Points versus Weak Points
Before I started my OJT there’s a lot of things bothering my mind and lot of questions
unanswered. First day of my OJT is the most pressured time ever. I do not know what approached
I must possessed and what gesture I must be. And I think I can’t handle myself because I am shy
and lose self-confident but my officemate help me overcome those pressure. They told me that
there’s no need to be shy because it only happens at first but as day goes on I will overcome it.
And I realized that at first time is only the hardest and later on I am enjoying my work and also
shared my knowledge for the new trainee at TESDA Office.
52. d. Best Experience on the Job Training
My most unforgettable Experience in my OJT is the Christmas Party. Because we have lot of
foods and activity such as singing contest, paper dance, Pinoy Henyo and most especially the sing
for fun Videoke. All of us enjoyed the Party.
e. Evidence of Background Preparation
Before I started my training, there’s a thing that I considered in such a way that it can help
me to be ready with my OJT. I relaxed myself and eat meal at the right time. And also I always
have a conversation with the person who are already experienced OJT
to have idea about the training.
Faults
a. Causes
The hardest part of being a trainee is that somehow you can’t resist mistake. The Fault that I
have done is that I printed wrong documents because of misunderstood information and I was felt
embarrassed with myself.
b. Suggested Solutions
The solution that I did is that I print again the document which is prescribed by the officer
and I say sorry for my imperfection.
53. Personnel Relations: Integration with the Company Personnel
The Company personnel at TESDA Office were very approachable. They taught us how to
become more proficient in our daily routine. They taught us how to become strong enough to
have self confident and to accompany with our client with a smile on our face. They treat us as a
family and not others
Attendance and Punctuality
My daily attendance is good but sometimes due to unavoidable circumstances I am late and
have absences for the reason that I wasn’t able to wake up early because I’m not feeling well and
became absent because I was sick. I was absent for some instances that is very urgent like
attending group meeting for our FS.
Interest and Commitments
My interest and commitments is to serve clients and students and it was my greatest
achievement in my OJT. I found happiness and contentment whenever I serve clients and
accomplished their request. Clients and students really worth serving for because TESDA’s most
important are to render service.
55. Potential of the Company as a Training Ground
After completing 200 hours of training, I can conceitedly say that it is better to conduct OJT
at TESDA because they will help the trainee to develop the knowledge and skills and also to be
out in the open in every office work and especially in every task.
a. Availability and Appropriateness of Facilities, Equipment Tools and Machinery
I can say that the availability and appropriateness of the Facility and equipments is good
because we experience different equipments which is related in I.T profession.
b. Company Cooperation Personnel
The company cooperation personnel headed by Provincial Director Edwin T. Andoyo were
very nice and it was a very good teamwork for all personnel in the TESDA Office.
Assessment to the Duration of Training
The duration of training which is 200 hours gives the trainee the time to be exposed in the
real world of work but it is better if the duration of training will be extended so that the exposure
will extend and it is enough for the trainee to be totally prepared upon facing the real world.
56. Proposed Revisions for the Improvement of the Training Program
My proposed revision is that the OJT must be ahead of time so that we can give more time
for our FS and to complete all the requirements that we have before graduation.
Advised to Future Student-Trainee
My advice to future student trainee is that they need to be positive thinker and to have self
confidence in every task. Be polite in every gesture and always smile. Always ask question if the
task is unclear to avoid mistakes. And most especially always pray and thanks God for everyday
strength and blessings.
