The Good Apples Group EHRS Project
Summary
You are an employee of the Good Apples Group, a healthcare organization which runs MacIntosh Manor Hospital. The CEO of the hospital has made a priority for the hospital to enter the 21st century by converting its operations to an Electronic Health Records System. You have been assigned the role of project manager for this effort, and are therefore responsibility for ensuring that the needs of the hospital have been carefully assessed and that the planning process for bringing an EHRS online is effective.
The Organization
At first glance, MacIntosh Manor Hospital looks like any small town hospital, where the quality of care is certainly modern but the staff and patients still come to know each other and expect a down-to-earth pace. The Good Apples Group, a parent corporation maintaining several local clinics in addition to MacIntosh Manor, has worked hard over the years to maintain that balance of customer service and cutting edge patient care.
MacIntosh Manor Hospital is a 500-bed, critical access hospital in Shiminy, Pennsylvania. It is the largest hospital within 100 miles, and schedules between 22,000 to 26,000 visits a year. MMH provides surgical, medical and acute care, 24-hour emergency room services, outpatient services, health education, behavioral services, and home and hospice care to a primarily suburban region of about 124,000 residents. It employs 2200 people, including 275 physicians, and as a hospital is managed by its own CEO.
MMH’s mission is to provide for the residents of Shiminy high quality services that enhance the quality of life and promote healthy lifestyles for patients, clients, employees, organization and communities. In its community MMH seeks to lead by example through compassionate, caring and comprehensive health care services.
The direction of MacIntosh Manor’s strategic vision change greatly in 2010 when Dr. Phillip Kapp was named CEO of the Good Apples Group and made it clear that his own successes with implementing EHRS and related technologies in healthcare facilities in the Philadelphia area would be the kind of challenge he wished to take on again with MacIntosh Manor Hospital. Kapp formed a strategic planning committee to assess the use of technology and what MMH should implement, and to determine and monitor a migration path.
Around the same time that Dr. Kapp took charge of the Good Apples Group, a federal mandate was issued that hospitals nationwide need to be using electronic medical records by 2015, giving Kapp and the strategic planning committee even more incentive to act quickly. The committee recommended beginning the transition to EHRS immediately and implementing both financial and clinical solutions.

How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.

INTRODUCTION
On-the-Job Training (OJT) is very important to the trainee, as a chance to gain
first-hand experience and to enhance her skills. During the training days, the trainee had
the opportunity to relate and associate the real operations and other corresponding
responsibilities. It further helps her to learn and to appreciate the importance of the
different flow of repairing procedures and policies affecting the management of an
establishment. The student also develops her confidence not only in the school but also
throughout the entire duration of the training (Heathfield, 2012).
The trainee benefits from the OJT because she can gain experience that she can
use in everyday work. OJT is one of the requirements for every college students, it is the
best training method conducted for students. The OJT broadens student’s skills and
productivity. It is, particularly, appropriate for developing proficiency skills that are
unique to the student-trainee, especially for jobs that are highly important. Through this
training, the trainee develops her skills and ability especially in computer maintenance,

computer servicing and other computer-related skills.
The training is conducted on April 23, 2013 to May 28, 2013 with the allotted 200
training hours in De La Salle Health Sciences Institute (DLSHSI) in City of Dasmariñas,
Cavite. She is assigned in College of Medical Radiation Technology (CMRT)
Department and is given the opportunity to conduct her training in Multimedia/Audio-
Visual Room at CMRT Department. She renders her working hours from 8am to 5pm
every weekdays and 8am to 12nn every Saturday.

THE LINKAGE INSTITUTION/ENTERPRISE
Background
The De La Salle Health Sciences Institute traces its roots to a group of doctors
from the College of Medicine of the University of the Philippines and the Philippine
General Hospital who, in 1976, decided to establish a medical school to support the need
for a well-trained staff for the newly inaugurated Medical Center Manila. In consonance
with the government policy of dispersing educational facilities outside the capital city and
encouraging the establishment of medical schools in various regions of the country, they
decided to establish a medical school in Dasmariñas, Cavite. Originally named Emilio
Aguinaldo College of Medicine, the school opened in 1979 under the management of the
University Physician’s Foundation, Inc and with the Jose P. Rizal National Medical
Research Center as its initial teaching hospital.
In 1980, the foundation acquired 1.2 hectares of additional property and
construction was started for a 180-bed teaching hospital. The 4-storey hospital, the
University Medical Center, was inaugurated on July 31, 1982. In 1985, the construction
of the second 4-storey Medical Research Building for the College of Medicine started.
In June 1987, ownership and management of the Emilio Aguinaldo College of
Medicine and the University Medical Center were acquired by the De La Salle University
Inc. The College of Medicine was renamed the De La Salle University-Emilio Aguinaldo
College of Medicine and the hospital the De La Salle University Medical Center. Since
the De La Salle Brothers assumed ownership of both the hospital and the college, both
have steadily grown. In 1990, the De La Salle University Medical Center continued its
4. 4
expansion with the inauguration of the WU Building. In 1992, the college was renamed
the De La Salle University College of Medicine. On April 7, 1994, the De La Salle
University Angelo King Medical Research Center was established. In June 1994, the
management of the College of Physical Therapy which was then part of DLSU-
Aguinaldo (now DLSU-Dasmariñas) was turned over to the De La Salle University
College of Medicine. By June 1995, the complex consisting of the College of Medicine,
University Medical Center, College of Physical Therapy and Research Services was
named De La Salle University – Health Sciences Campus or DLSU-HSC under the
ownership and administration of the St. Bro. Miguel Febres Cordero Medical Education
Foundation.
The DLSU Medical center continued to grow with the opening of the ten-storey
Teodorica Favis Vda. De Rivero Hall in 1997 and of the one-storey Jose Sotto Tantiansu
Center Institute in 1988. In January 1999, the Institute of Continuing Education for the
Health Profession (formerly Institute of Graduate Studies) was established.
In October 1999 and July 2003, the De La Salle University Medical Center gained
the distinction of being the first hospital in the Philippines to have been awarded an ISO
9001 Certification and a Certification by the TUV–Rheinland and Berlin– Brandenburg
Group of Companies.
In May 2000, the colleges under the administration of the DLSU-Health Sciences
Campus increased with the transfer of the Colleges of Medical Radiation Technology and
Nursing and Midwifery (formerly under DLSU-Dasmariñas).
Eventually, the institution’s name became De La Salle Health Sciences Institute
upon approval of the Board of Trustees in September 2007.
5. 5
At present, the Institute offers academic programs through its four colleges:
Medicine, Physical Therapy, Medical Radiation Technology, and Nursing and School of
Midwifery.

The trainee faced few problems communicating with her superior. Despite of this,
the trainee overcame her weakness by building a good relationship with her superior and
by asking questions about the task given to her. She also encountered problems in
handling tools and equipment from the department and she resolved it by asking help to
her co-trainees.
14. 14
As the trainee observed, the DLSHSI on-the-job training program would be more
effective if the management of the institution would recognize and give special awards to
the trainees who have shown excellence in the entire duration of the OJT. In effect the
trainee will be encouraged to do their best especially in tasks assigned to them.
The trainee believes that De La Salle Health Sciences Institute is an ideal place
for on-the-job trainees because it can provide good training to the students and will be a
