3. Admission Fees
Below 30 years : Rs.1200/- + Rs.360/- = Rs.1560/-
30 to below 40 years : Rs.1800/- +Rs.360/- = Rs.2160/-
40 to below 45 years : Rs.2400/- +Rs.360/- = Rs.2760/-
45 to below 50 years : Rs.3000/- +Rs.360/- = Rs.3360/-
50 to below 55 years : Rs.3600/- +Rs.360/- = Rs.3960/-
Members Contribution
For demises after 10 years : Rs.200/- per death
For demises above 5 years but up to 10 years : Rs.150/- per
death
For demises after the end of lock in period but up to 5
years membership : Rs.100/- per death.
However if the deceased member is below 45 years of age
or if the death is due to natural calamities or traffic
accidents irrespective of the age of the person every
member shall pay Rs.200/- for that death.
4. Life Membership
One time lumpsum payment of Rs.3,60,000/-
towards the scheme. Need not make any
further payment thereafter.
Fraternity Benefit
End of lock in period but up to 5 years membership : Maximum of Rs.10 lakh
Above 5 years but up to 10 years membership : Maximum of Rs.15 Lakh
Above 10 years Membership : Maximum of Rs.20 Lakh
However if the deceased member is below 45 years of age or if the death is due
to natural calamities or traffic accidents irrespective of the age of the person, a
maximum of Rs.20 lakhs will be provided.
5. Disability Contribution
If a member becomes permanently disabled
and unable to practice, he/she can apply
for disability benefit. Application along
with supportive documents should be
forwarded through the local branch. The
amount is calculated to 20% of the
fraternity benefit and the rest is kept as FD
to be payable to the nominee after demise
without interest. Final decision of
eligibility will be decided by a medical
committee. Maximum 5 disability benefits
will be settled in a year.
6. Honorary Members
If a member pays every year his
annual subscription and
fraternity contribution
continuously for 20 years, he
shall not pay any such
contribution there after, yet
he remains as honorary member
of this scheme. For this, 20 years
will be calculated from the
day of enrollment to the
scheme.
7. Lock in Period
One year from the date of joining the
scheme, provided he/she was below the
age of 50 years, at the time of joining
the scheme
Two years from the date of joining the
scheme, provided he/she was above the
age of 50 years, at the time of joining
the scheme.
9. Who can become
a member of
SSS1?
Any life member of
the IMA Kerala State
Branch below the age
of 55 years on the day
of joining the scheme

Scheme ?
1) There is an application form (available
from your local branch leader or simply
download from

need to be filled and attached along with
the required documents and sent to the
scheme office along with the Cheque/DD.

11. What is the
enrolment fee
for joining the
scheme?
Ordinary Membership
Joining Fees = Admission fees (based on the age of the
member at the time of joining the scheme) + Annual
Subscription fees (Rs.360/-).
Joining Fees Based on Age
Below 30years : Rs.1200/- + Rs.360/- = Rs.1560/-
30years to below 40 years: Rs.1800/-+ Rs.360/-= Rs.2160/-

Yearly renewal of ordinary Membership
Every year Rs.360/- has to be paid as annual subscription
for 20 years. Every member of this scheme shall pay
fraternity contribution on the event of death of a member
of the scheme every year as follows
However if the deceased member is below 45years of age or
if the death is due to natural calamities or traffic accidents
irrespective of the age of the person every member shall pay
Rs.200/- for that death provided.
13. Is there any
health check
up before
joining the
scheme?
There will be
no health check
for admission
to the scheme.
14. What is the
lock in period
for the
Scheme?
One year from the date of
joining the scheme, provided
he/she was below the age of 50
years, at the time of joining the
scheme. Two years from the
date of joining the scheme,

Insurance
Scheme?
No. We exist while promoting

earliest, once you are gone.
16. Are there any
benefit while
the member is
alive?

Security Scheme II & III. If you are
less than 60years you are eligible to
join both schemes and avail the
benefit of both schemes.

Can I joining the
scheme?
Yes, Any member of the IMA Kerala
State Branch below the age of 55
years on the day of joining the
Scheme.
19. I am a member
of SSS1, but is
reside at
another State,
Can I get
benefit from
the scheme?
Yes, Are you a life member of the
IMA Kerala State Branch,
eligible for benefit.
20. How many
Years will have
to pay the
Scheme?
If a member pays every year his annual
subscription and fraternity contribution

21. What is the
procedure for
claiming the
benefit?
For that, we have a claim form. The nominee have to
fill and submit the claim form to concerned IMA
Branch along with Original Policy document and
copy of death certificate. On receiving this duly
filled claim form, the scheme secretary will verify
and issue DD in favor of nominee and that DD would
be send to branch secretary who in turn will
handover the same to nominee at the earliest.
22. How to claim in
case of death of
scheme
member and
loss of scheme
certificate ?
For that, we have a proforma. The
nominee have to take printout of the
same in a stamp paper for a value
not less than Rs.100, seek notary
attestation and concerned IMA
Branch Secretary's sign and submit
it to IMA branch along with claim
form and copy of death Certificate.
23. What is
the

24. How to
change My
nominee?
The nominations can be changed at any time in due
course if necessary. For this you have to contact
scheme secretary and secretary will send you the
proforma for change of nominee. Then print the
same in a white paper and forward duly filled
profoma to scheme office via IMA branch. First time
nominee change doesn’t require any fees thereafter
the nominee change has a charge of Rs.600/-.
25. How to
demand
Duplicate
Policy
Certificate
if Original
is lost?
For duplicate policy certificate you have to
write to scheme secretary and secretary will
send the proforma for duplicate scheme
certificate. Print the same in a stamp paper for
a value not less than Rs 100, seek notary
attestation and submit it to concerned IMA
branch with cheque/DD of Rs.1200/-.
