This document summarizes the evolution of research computing resources at KWTRP-Kilifi from a single virtualized server to a modern HPC cluster. The current cluster features 544GB of RAM, 72TB of storage, and 64 Intel Xeon CPUs connected by a 1/10GbE network. It uses standard components like SLURM for job scheduling and GlusterFS for shared, scalable storage. The homogeneous environment allows consistent access to user data and applications across nodes. Support is provided for bioinformatics pipelines, programming languages, and compilers.
