The study found that fertilizers like NPK, DAP and urea are easily accessible to farmers in Rubengera sector due to programs that provide subsidies and vouchers. Most farmers receive vouchers and are able to get fertilizers at affordable prices from nearby agro-dealers within suitable timeframes. However, some farmers still face constraints like lack of information and high interest rates on loans for fertilizers. The study recommends increasing farmer cooperatives and revising interest rates to further improve fertilizer access and agricultural productivity in the region.
