This document discusses using Mahara to create ePortfolios for students in Pacific TAFE's Hospitality Workplace Practicum program. Currently, student work is tracked using paper workbooks, but ePortfolios offer benefits like regional access and digital skills development. The proposed solution involves creating an ePortfolio toolkit and training students and staff on its use. This will allow students to showcase work from various hospitality areas and assessments. The team will implement this over 2016-2017, with the goals of expanding access and enabling research on its impact on employability and digital literacy.
