2. Our company – MDM productions
Our company is currently producing campaign advertisements for Ringwood
school and Ringwood sixth form open days.
Our ideology is to encourage as many people as possible to come to our
open days to ensure they are a success and thus would increase the
possibility of students coming next term.
5. Ringwood School
Running time – 30 seconds
Synopsis – The head teacher will introduce Ringwood School and talk about all the
achievements and the benefits of sending your child here.
Key scene – The advert will end with the dates and times of the open day.
Character list – The Head teacher as it will contrast the typical conventions of an audio
advert as she is female. She also has an approachable voice so that we sound as
welcoming as possible.
Target audience – Parents of children, both male and female. Interested in finding the best
school for their children in a safe environment. It would be most likely the target audience
would be between D and B on the NRS scale. Regarding the 4c’s it is likely they would be
the mainstream audience as their core need for life is security which is a likely interest for
parents who are looking for where they want to send their children.
How product will appeal to TA – Include in script comments on the safe environment,
encouragement for students to reach their potential through outstanding teaching
methods and extra-curricular opportunities for students.
Recording studios – recording locations – the geography block; RSR radio station for
recording.
Costs – budget of £2000, this advertisement should cost no more than £1000; the
recording studio would cost £85 for 1 hour as suggested by https://www.sound-
gallery.net/rates, actors would cost £100 each actor (Miss Symonds for the Ringwood
school open day)
6. Ringwood Sixth Form
Running time – 30 seconds
Synopsis – Mr Walbrin (the head of sixth form) will introduce Ringwood Sixth Form and both male and
female students will talk about what they enjoy about attending Ringwood Sixth Form.
Key Scene – The audio advertisement will include vox pops from the students talking about the positive
aspects of sixth form, and the audio advertisement will end with the dates and times of the sixth form open
day.
Character list – Mr Walbrin will talk about the sixth form and give the dates and times of the open days
because he is the head of sixth form and has an approachable voice, we will also use Dan Taylor because he
has been at the school for 7 years and so will recognise how the school has developed and Rachel Moffat as
she has only been at the school for 2 years so there will be a varying perspective. They are also both 18 so
they will be able to consent for themselves to be featured in the audio advertisement.
Target audience – the target audience would be year 11 students looking to go to sixth form next year. They
would most likely be on the E of the nrs scale as they are still living with their parents and will not be able to
support for themselves independently. Regarding the 4c’s it is likely they would be the explorer as their key
motivation would be the future and this aspect of the 4c’s is described to have a core need for discovery.
How product will appeal to TA – include vox pops of current sixth formers explaining the current
opportunities sixth form has given them and the support it has provided to succeed and reach their full
potential.
Recording studios – recording locations – the geography block; RSR radio station for recording.
Costs – budget of £2000, this advertisement should cost no more than £1000; the recording studi would cost
£85 for one hour (but we would use this hour to record both audio advert campaigns), actors would cost
£100 per actor (Mr Walbrin) and we would spend £50 on the students we will be using for vox pops.

Option 1: Free and here at school; we will be using the RSR studio to record our
voices.
The recording studio in the Geography block at Ringwood School is usually
usually used for the RSR (Ringwood School Radio) recordings.
We intend to use this location as we are able to use it free of charge. This will
will help to reduce costs on our budget. Furthermore, as we are Ringwood
School students it will be easy to get permission (if required) to ensure that our
that our recording is legally acceptable. This will help to reduce costs on our
our budget.
We are planning on using the facility for an hour max. This is useful as we do
do not need to travel far with our equipment and actors.
As an alternative if the RSR studio is not available we will simply use a quiet
quiet location at school (e.g. an empty classroom). This would be the best
alternate choice as we are including vox pops in our audio advert so we would
would need an empty room to ensure the recording comes out clear with no

• If we are unable to use Miss Symonds as our actor then we will use another
approachable female adult voice.
• If we are unable to use Mr Walbrin as our actor then we will use another
approachable male adult voice.
• If we cannot use the RSR studio we will use an empty classroom to record our
actors’ voices.
16. Codes of conduct
To ensure we have adhered to the relevant legal and ethical constraints we will only use actors
over the age of 18 as they will be able to legally agree to the recording themselves, rather than
parents or guardians having to.
We have produced our own music to avoid copyrighting issues.
17. Conclusion

planned out and through this we pride ourselves in excellent results.
