El Otoño comienza en
     septiembre,
Y termina en el mes de
     noviembre.
Y cuando llega otra vez,
Las hojas cambian colores,
Los niños decoran sus casas.
Vuelven las calabazas.
Nos podemos disfrazar

FLES methods and Standards
Start by explaining the vocabulary words that they will encounter in the
slideshow. These words are listed on the last slide.

Activate prior knowledge so they can connect the term to a picture or
pictures

Teach two rhyming slides per day, or at the pace you deem convenient.
Always explain what the sentences say.

After finishing the teaching of the poem, assign one line for each student
to role-play, or to “read aloud”. Expose them to print at all times.

I will have my kids say the poem by heart in my school, after they are
very familiar with it and after they have memorized the verses. Words
such as harmonious and delicious are good starters for kindergarten
language arts. Knowing them in Spanish only builds even more vocabulary.
