-Behaviouristic theory: Human beings acquire their first language

-Innateness theory: Human beings are able to produce and understand
utterances thanks to an innate capacity which only humans have.
- Social interactionist theory: This theory claims that human beings
acquire language through the interaction with other human beings in a
rich environment.
