Colours Week 6
Welcome back to Silver Bend! Zales is welcoming you
to the ever chaotic Colours house. Last week, Thai’s
kids from Laguna Isle moved in making things a little
awkward with Amanda. Lysbeth the final Colours child
was born, she’s the OWBC’s bad apple this generation.
I forgot to take family photo. I need to get better at
remembering to take them.
“Papa?” Lysbeth cried at the bottom of the
stairs. Papa and Momma were upstairs and
no one was playing with her.
There was a new family member joining the
house. Max was an elderly dog that Bran
found outside Ani-Mei’s Cat Café.
“I’ll play with you Lys, just come over here.”
“Over there!” Lysbeth cocked her head trying
if Olaf was fun enough.
Thai took over when Olaf headed to school.
“How’s my Lysbeth today?”
“Papa!” She cheered.
Julie Diem came home from school with Olaf
and Odin.
“Hey you want to go on a date?”
“Sure!” She agreed.
Amanda came home with a promotion. She
was well on her way to becoming a business
tycoon.
Ryan Phoenix and Rebecca Diem were also
over. They were a little too involved with
each other to pay attention to the Colours
kids.
Thai took Bran and Sal to Dreamweaver for
the afternoon.
Griff gave the bookstore rank 3 while
purchasing Bigfoot Hugs: How to Hug with
Proper Enthusiasm.
Bran earned his bronze cashier badge.
Thai closed up after that. It was Lysbeth’s
birthday tonight.
It was quite a birthday crowd for Lysbeth’s
cake.
“Look how big I am!” She cheered after the
confetti fell away.
A/N: I gave her a little makeover, she’s
getting glasses like her big brother Bran. I
did also assign her a bed. But I was very
careful not to peek at her stats. Despite the
almost overwhelming temptation.
After cake spaghetti was served. Thai noted
that they really needed a bigger table in the
dining room.
Thai and Amanda rearranged the nursery to
give Paloma and Lysbeth a bedroom so
share.
Palmer rushed to the sidewalk and made it
just in time. He hadn’t paid attention to his
power supply while he was doing chores
around the house.
The first snow of season fell over night. Only
the pool warm from a heater was free of the
frosty flakes.
Amanda and Thai decided to make a
spontaneous trip to Silver Bend Shops.
Amanda got a makeover after living in Silver
Bend for weeks. She had put on a little
weight, but she felt like she wore it well.
After all Thai still found her very attractive.
“There’s no kids around.” He told her.
“And no customers.” She grinned back.
Eventually they did open. Amanda handled
sales while Thai managed the register.
Mel Phoenix gave Dreamweaver rank 4
while buying a copy of Spore for her son.
After the teens got home from school, Thai
dragged them and Palmer up to the café.
Olaf earned his bronze sales badge while
hosting.
Back home Thai helped Lysbeth with her
homework.
“Dad do I have to do this?” she complained.
“Yes ma’am.”
That night young Oddmund was having his
birthday into teenhood.
“Check this out!” He grinned, he wanted to
the most popular kid in school, and be
surrounded by twenty best friends.
“Goodnight Lys.” Thai tucked his sleeping
daughter in.
She had a hard life ahead of her being a bad
apple. But she was surrounded by people
that loved her.
“Hey Palmer, everyone just ate, you don’t
need to make lobster.” Bran said washing the
dishes.
“I found a new recipe I wanted to try.” Palmer
replied.
Julie found out Olaf was dating Heather too,
and Kaylynn Guevara.
“That’s for making a fool out of me.” Julie
growled knocking over the trash that Bran
just took out.
Amanda needed charisma points to get
promoted. She locked herself in the
downstairs bathroom and practiced in the
mirror.
Bran skipped sneaking out this week. The
bubble blower outside was calling his name.
“Umm, you’re facing the wrong way.” Bran
told the genie.
“I will turn in my own time.” The genie said.
“Well, I wish for some money while you’re
taking your time.”
“As you wish.”
Julie was coming every night to dump over
the trash can. It wasn’t long before roaches
made an appearance.
Thai had a lot of spare time. Being a
professional party guest paid well, but now
that Lysbeth was in school he didn’t have a
lot to do. He spent a few hours working on a
junker in the driveway.
According to their challenge rules, they could
only repair things at noon. Palmer took on
the broken computer.
Thai handled the downstairs toilet. There
was more stuff broken but they only
managed the two things in the allotted time.
It was Oddmund’s turn to be the host at the
café.
Paloma was learning to be a server too.
“I’m so sorry Mr. Toby.” She apologized after
she dumped her tray on him.
“It’s alright.” He laughed it off, shaking off
the salad on his clothes.
“Julie, I’m sorry, but it was just one date.
Please stop knocking down our trash can.”
Olaf pleaded after she came home from
school with Odin.
“Just promise not to date anymore of my
sisters.”
“Deal.”
“School is so much fun!” Lysbeth shouted
getting off the bus, “I can’t wait until
tomorrow!”
Amanda came home with another promotion.
She was just a few away from being a
business tycoon.
Oddmund made sure he spent some time
with his little sister. Even if he had to wake
her up out of bed.
The flamingo army was growing outside.
Once Thai remembered to put three out for
Lysbeth.
Noon rolled around again, this time Palmer
tackle the last clogged toilet.
After school was café time again. Salvatore
was up as host.
The place was really taking off, Goopy gave it
rank 4.
Everything had to stop briefly to fix a broken
sink in the kitchen.
One of the local reporter’s came by for a
snack. She didn’t say much. Thai knew he
had so more work to do before the café
became best of the best.
Salvatore netted himself a gold sales badge.
“You did a great job tonight Olaf.” Brandi said
counting out bills.
“Hey thanks a lot!”
She also gave the café rank 5.
After clearing up their misunderstanding Olaf
and Julie could be friends again. He invited
her after school again.
After his outing with Julie, Olaf couldn’t
sleep. He tried to make friends with Moody,
one of the local wolves.
Palmer was also up late. Trying out more
new recipes despite no one being hungry.
Thai finally finished his car. The first car in
Silver Bend.
Tiffany was finally starting to show her age.
Thai made sure there was plenty of dog stuff
downstairs to make things easier on her.
Now that the café was rank 5, it opened up
a spot in the culinary career. Thai looked
for an opening, with no luck at least for
now.
Lysbeth brought Honey Sugar home from
school with her. The two girls were
becoming fast friends.
“Throw it as high as you can!” Lysbeth
encouraged.
“Here it comes!” Honey shouted back.
That even Bran booked a taxi to college. His
time at home was up. He looked forward to
the new chapter in his life.
He took a deep breath before getting into the
cab. Moving to college was a little nerve
wracking, but Delilah was there. She was so
perfect, he couldn’t wait to see her again.
Lysbeth made another conquest of her
brothers.
“Why was there a clock in the gazebo?” Olaf
asked.
“I dunno why?”
“Cause it was in time out!” Olaf laughed.
“That’s so funny!” Lysbeth laughed.
Palmer was the only one that still worked on
the garden. It gave him something to do
while the family was sleeping. Especially
since Thai stopped stocking the fridge. It
was full to the brim with leftovers.
Reno Day came around and Bran’s room was
due for a remodel. Amanda wanted Lysbeth
to have her own room.
She chose the color pink to decorate her
room with. She had her very own desk to do
homework on.
A/N: I did have to command her to claim the
desk and the new bed. But no peeking I
promise.
Paloma got the nursery to herself. Her
favorite color was purple. Thai bought a cool
zebra painting for her.
Saturday was a day for skilling. The kids
were regulated to the living with Palmer’s
cooking books to earn some skill points.
Thai finally found a job in the culinary career.
He was on the path to being a world famous
chef! If Palmer didn’t beat him to it.
Olaf took Kaylynn to Star Gazing Park for a
date.
If felt a little strange only date one girl at a
time. Olaf decided he liked it. Kaylynn was
very pretty.
Back home Amanda joined Paloma for a
game of chess.
“We really need to put a light over here don’t
we?” She mused to her step-daughter.
“Yeah it’s pretty dark.” Paloma could tell
Amanda was trying, she was more than
willing to meet halfway.
Palmer was on the prowled in the local
college chatrooms. He hadn’t heard anything
after dating Keika a couple of times. He
figured it was time to fish for those other fish
in the sea.
No one told Lysbeth to go to bed. She spent
the night playing myshuno by herself.
“I win again!”
Family Sunday rolled around. Thai called
Keika and her girls over for lunch and
afternoon fun.
“Keika!” Palmer said excitedly.
“No hard feelings, right Palmer?” She said
quickly, “It wasn’t meant to be between us.”
“I know that now. I can still come over from
time to time right?”
“We’ll talk about it later okay.”
Palmer had invited Rose over for a date, one
of the people he met in the chat room. He
was glad he had after talking with Keika.
Rose kept his mind off things.
Griff had been invited over too. Amanda
made pancakes for everyone and enjoyed
eating them out in the sunshine.
“I’m thinking about moving into the city,
maybe up in the hills. I miss trees.”
“Yeah, there’s not a lot of old trees near the
beach.” Amanda agreed.
“One ticket to Platinum University please.”
Sal used the hubbub of the guests to sneak
off to college. He was tired of keeping his
nose clean. It was time to have some fun.
Oddmund decided he needed a new haircut
to end out the week. With his older brothers
moving to college it would soon his turn to
play the field a bit.
