ABSTRACT: Although a significant amount of literature exists on Morocco's migration policies and their
successes and failures since their implementation in 2014, there is limited research on the integration of subSaharan African children into schools. This paperis part of a Ph.D. research project that aims to fill this gap. It
reports the main findings of a study conducted with migrant children enrolled in two public schools in Rabat,
Morocco, exploring how integration is defined by the children themselves and identifying the obstacles that they
have encountered thus far. The following paper uses an inductive approach and primarily focuses on the
relationships of children with their teachers and peers as a key aspect of integration for students with a migration
background. The study has led to several crucial findings. It emphasizes the significance of speaking Colloquial
Moroccan Arabic (Darija) and being part of a community for effective integration. Moreover, it reveals that the
use of Modern Standard Arabic as the language of instruction in schools is a source of frustration for students,
indicating the need for language policy reform. The study underlines the importanceof considering the
children‟s agency when being integrated into mainstream public schools.

Improving Workplace Safety Performance in Malaysian SMEs: The Role of Safety ...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT: In the Malaysian context, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) experience a significant
burden of workplace accidents. A consensus among scholars attributes a substantial portion of these incidents to
human factors, particularly unsafe behaviors. This study, conducted in Malaysia's northern region, specifically
targeted Safety and Health/Human Resource professionals within the manufacturing sector of SMEs. We
gathered a robust dataset comprising 107 responses through a meticulously designed self-administered
questionnaire. Employing advanced partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) techniques
with SmartPLS 3.2.9, we rigorously analyzed the data to scrutinize the intricate relationship between safety
behavior and safety performance. The research findings unequivocally underscore the palpable and
consequential impact of safety behavior variables, namely safety compliance and safety participation, on
improving safety performance indicators such as accidents, injuries, and property damages. These results
strongly validate research hypotheses. Consequently, this study highlights the pivotal significance of cultivating
safety behavior among employees, particularly in resource-constrained SME settings, as an essential step toward
enhancing workplace safety performance.

1. Pre production- evaluation
My initial planning-
When first starting to plan for this short film, I used a mind map and drafted some ideas
which I could start of with first. I went through a range of ideas before I got my final one.
The way I figured out my final idea, was to test each situation with if it would work well with
the audience and which they may be attracted to more. I did research into the latest trend
and fashion in films and I built my ideas from these.
I scheduled my film into sections and weeks to make sure the plan worked out in time for
the cast crew and to make sure it got done in time.
location
For this part of pre-production, I had to find places which would be suitable to shoot my
short film. For the short film I would need to get any permissions if needed to be allowed to
film on this site/location. For the location I decided to do it in my house therefore I only
needed permission from my parents. This worked well as I didn’t need to get permission
from a professional site.
I was gaining experience by filming off the college premises and learning more knowledge of
the media industry in filming in multiple locations. I chose my house as I knew it would be a
fitting location for a horror short filmas many existing products have this type of location
also.
If I had another chance to do this again I would filmmore outside to give more locations
rather than just one location. This may improve the quality and also lengthen the time of
the film massively.
Script
The script for my short film didn’t involve much. This is because the short filmdidn’t involve
any dialogue. Even with no dialogue, I had to write a script for this project, because without
a script this project would not work as a script is crucial of pre-production.
The script, personally, is quite successful because it gives more of a basic story to expand on
for the characters and it brings everything together. The script runs smooth into each
scenes describing what the characters will be doing. For example, facial expressions.
Risk assessment
For the risk assessment I had to locate and decide which risks may occur on and off the
camera whilst filming in the environment. For example, filming in a doorway, with less space
this may may it harder to have more space leading someone to trip over a wire. You do risk
assessments to make sure that others involved in the production are safe and don’t hurt
themselves. If the risk is not identified to may to happen, it may be a shock not knowing
what to do when other people could be injured.
My risk assessment was very successful as nobody was injured in the production process
because I alerted the the potential risks to everyone involved. The helped everyone to know
they are in a safe environment.
2. Storyboard
The purpose of the storyboard was to plan how we wanted each scene to be set before I
start filming. This also helps me decide what happens to finalize to follow what to filmnext.
Each person involved also got a copy so they knew what they, where doing where with what
expressions. The hoped outcome was to make sure that every shot in my filmwas set up to
make my final product look professional and organised as I can make it. without a
storyboard, the film wouldn’t be organised and cast and camera location could go wrong
and may ruin the overall product.
My storyboard was successful because during the days of filming, I did not waste time
explaining about what is going next with which cast. Each cast member knew what was
happening and it saved a lot of time.
Equipment
The equipment I planned out what I may need to save time. These were from the camera I
am using to any props needed and planned to be used. This was successful for my short film
because I wrote an equipment list to tick off along with the storyboard and script. This was
to make my film as professional as I could and the props helped when it came to the filming
phase of the project.
Finance-
With the budget, I never had to purchase anything. This was because I borrowed some of
the things from the college and the other things I already had. Once done with what I had
borrowed I returned once finished. There was no budget for travel as I lived with the actors
and the budget sheet I had provides the information of what was used and the price.
Managing resources-
To manage everything, I had a folder which had all the documents in and also had the cast
and crew know everything so it is all up to date.
