you a higher budget. they may even help to produce some of the film. However, the
downside of private funding is that you could not, potentially, impress the producers and
they may not help you with your film and not invest. Another negative result of private

Locations are very important in creating a film, this is because the locations help to set the
mood of the genre of the film .when planning your film, you need to think about where the
location is going to be for certain scenes. What will benefit your film when you think about
locations, is thinking about how you can have the location to have am impact on the
audience. Evaluating this further, an example of a location impacting the audience would be
horror films , a haunted mansion in the middle of nowhere , creates an intimidating spooky
atmosphere for the audience.
Locations are important because they also help indicate what genre the film is. For example

location, your automatic thought is that the film is horror.
However, looking at the negatives, locations can be complicated to use as you need
permission to use the locations you want. Also, there has to be nobody walking around or
any traffic , for example, if say you wanted a city location. There maybe a certain timescale

You may need to hire specialist crews for the production of the film. This could be make up
artists or stunt doubles. make up artists are important because if the make up was poor,
you could potentially get bad reviews. Also, the lighting used for the filming may affect how
the colour of your face is presented on camera, so using a good make up artist will help the
camera pick up the right colours for your face.
Stunt crews may be important as the main actors/actresses may not want to risk potential
injuries because they are not professionals at doing major stunts and not harming
themselves in the process. Lawyers also are important as they consult with the film’s

life, by using props helps do this as it almost brings the filmto life and in doing this some of

This is so if there are any accidents In the process of making the film, there is the less chance

your film making, and someone maybe even die from your cast and crew, you would be
facing court and sued thousands, potentially millions. So with doing thse health and safety
procedures, it basically helps keep everybody safe and always make sure they have
