Landscape has played a major role in reducing the
surface albedo effect and mitigating the Heat Island
effect of the campus
Greenery of podium area reduces heat conduction into
the lower floors and also glare on the façade. The
landscaped compound wall and planters add to the
reduction in glare from façade
The top soil excavated during site preparation has
been reused for landscaping
Native species of plants were chosen since they can
survive with low water requirement.

18. Watering of garden is done with recycled water from
in house sewage treatment plant (zero discharge plant)
Sprinklers are used to economize water consumption
Recycling of the water used in water bodies helps us
to reduce its consumption
Trees planted in ground level were chosen in such a
way that they can provide shelter in 5 years to the
open parking slots and reduce Heat Island effect

wheeler due to this issue.
We promote “Car Pooling” to reduce the
traffic on road and reduce the Co2
emissions

the “Last Mile Connectivity” issue to
enhance the Public transport usage

36. Organic Waste Converter (OWC)
• The Organic Waste converted into homogenized odor
free output within 20 minutes through Bio Mechanical
Process.
• Further it is converted into COMPOST within two weeks
which can be used in gardens and landscape
applications.
• We are collecting the food waste from our Food court
and all our tenants’ cafeteria.
• Around 1000 kg of food waste is converted to manure.
We are generating 300 kg of manure per day from our
waste.
