Alfalfa also called Lucerne, is a
perennial flowering plant in the
pea family Febaceae cultivated as
an important forage crop in many
countries around the world.
Alfalfa perennial forage legume
which normally lives four to eight
years, but can live more than 20
years, depending on variety and
climate.
Onion Seeds
Onion Seed is an item added by
the Pam's HarvestCraft mod.
Black onion seeds are rich in
dietary value. The seeds contain
amino acids, proteins and several
essential minerals. Onion seed oil
is known for its medicinal value.
The oil is said to be the best
cure for several body ailments.
Carrot Seeds
Carrot seeds are not true seeds in a
botanical sense but are dry fruits called
'schizocarps'. The Carrot is not a fruit in
the common understanding, so there are
no seeds inside or on the carrot. The
part of the carrot that you eat grows in
the ground, usually with the wide end of
the carrot just at the surface of the soil.
The round mark you can see on that end
of the carrot is where the leaves used to
be - a big soft bunch of deep green
leaves that look a bit like a fern.

Cumin
Cumin seeds are the seeds of
Cuminum, which belongs to the
parsley family.
Native to the Mediterranean, cumin

Cumin is a popular ingredient in
Middle Eastern, Asian,
Mediterranean and Mexican
cuisines, and is one of the main
ingredients in curry powder.
Coriander
Coriander seeds, are the
seed of coriandrum
sativum, which belongs to
the parsley family.
Coriander is a common in
gredient in Indian Spice
Blends and often used in
Middle Eastern lamb and
beef stews.
Fenugreek
Fenugreek is a native to India
and southern Europe. For
centuries it has grown wild in
India, the Mediterranean and
North Africa. where it is
mainly cultivated. In India it
is used medicinally, and as a
yellow dyestuff.
Ajwain
The small fruit pods are pale brown
and have an oval shape, resembling
caraway and cumin. It has a bitter and
pungent taste, with a flavor similar to
anise and oregano. They smell almost
exactly like thyme because it also
contains thymol, but is more aromatic
and less subtle in taste, as well as
slightly bitter and pungent. Even a
small amount of fruit pods tend to
dominate the flavor of a dish.
Mustard
Botanical name of mustard is Brassica
juncea (L.) Czern. & Coss.
Mustard seeds are the small round seeds
of various mustard plants. The seeds are
usually about 1 or 2 mm in diameter.
Mustard seeds may be colored from
yellowish white to black. They are
important herbs in many regional foods.
The seeds can come from three different
plants: black mustard, brown Indian
mustard and white mustard.
Fennel
Fennel is a species in the genus
Foeniculum. It is a member of the
family Apiaceae, formerly the
Umbelliferae.
Fennel is widely cultivated, both in
its native range and elsewhere, for
its edible, strongly flavoured leaves
and fruits. Its aniseed flavour
comes from anethole, an aromatic
compound also found in anise and
star anise, and its taste and aroma
are similar to theirs, though
usually not as strong.

The peanut or groundnut is a species

family.
The peanut was probably first

tall.

nutritional value and are counted as a
healthy snack option around the world.

the genus Sesamum, commonly

world.

minerals. The seeds are
incredibly rich sources of many
essential minerals.
Sunflower Seeds
Sunflower Seeds has great demand in
foreign markets for its vitamin & Mineral
enriched qualities. It provides incredible
sources of health benefiting nutrients,
minerals, antioxidants and vitamins. The
seeds are majorly used to extract their oil
and Striped sunflower seeds are primarily
used for food.
The sunflower seed is the fruit of the
sunflower. The term "sunflower seed" is
actually a misnomer when applied to the
seed in its pericarp (hull). Botanically
speaking, it is a cypsela. When dehulled,
the edible remainder is called the sunflower
kernel or heart.
Castor Seeds
Castor oil is a vegetable oil obtained by
pressing the seeds of the castor oil
plant.
In naturopathy castor oil has been
promoted as a treatment for a variety of
human health conditions.
In India, Pakistan, Nepal and
Bangladesh, food grains are preserved
by applying castor oil. It stops rice,
wheat, and pulses from rotting. For
example the legume pigeon pea is
commonly available coated in oil for
extended storage

Millet
 Millets are a group of highly variable
small-seeded grasses, widely grown around
the world as cereal crops or grains for
fodder and human food. Millets are
important crops in the semi-arid tropics of
Asia and Africa with 97 percent of millet
production in developing countries.
 The crop is favoured due to its
productivity and short growing season
under dry, high-temperature conditions.
Generally the millets are small-grained,
annual, warm-weather cereals belonging to
grass family.
Foxtail Millet
 The botanic name of foxtail millet
is Setaria italica.
 Foxtail Millet is the second-most
widely planted species of millet, and
the most important in East Asia.
 It is a warm season crop, typically
planted in late spring.
 Foxtail millet is an annual grass
with slim, vertical, leafy stems
which can reach a height of 120–
200 cm.
Soya bean
The soybean is a species of legume
native to East Asia, widely grown for
its edible bean which has numerous
uses. The plant is classed as an oilseed
rather than a pulse by the UN Food
and Agricultural Organization.
Fat-free soybean meal is a significant
and cheap source of protein for animal
feeds and many packaged meals; soy
vegetable oil is another product of
processing the soybean crop
Maize
Maize known in some English-
speaking countries as corn, is a large
grain plant domesticated by
indigenous peoples in Mesoamerica in
prehistoric times
The leafy stalk produces ears which
contain the grain, which are seeds
called kernels. Maize kernels are often
used in cooking as a starch. The six
major types of maize are dent, flint,
pod, popcorn, flour, and sweet.
