Tim Burton was born in 1958 and showed an early interest in animation, making short films as a pre-teen using stop motion techniques. He studied character animation at the California Institute of the Arts and was hired by Disney where he worked as an animator and artist. Disney later fired Burton for spending resources on his film Frankenweenie, deemed too scary. Burton's breakout film was Beetlejuice in 1988, a supernatural comedy horror starring Michael Keaton. The successful film led Burton to direct major films adapting Alice in Wonderland and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

, 1958.when Tim was a pre-teen he would make short animation films
using crude stop motion techniques in the backyard on Evergreen street. He
did this without sound as well. He made the island of doctor agor at 13.
As an introspective person Tim Burton found pleasure in the arts of painting
and drawing as well as watching movies, Dr. Suess and Roald Dahl heavily
influenced Burton in his future work as childhood heroes.
Burton studied in the California institute of the arts to study character
animation to which he made the animations of stalk of the celery monster, king
and octopus which had attracted the attention of Walt Disney Productions
Animations Division. They offered Burton an apprenticeship at the studio in
which he agreed. He worked as an animator, storyboard artist, graphic
designer, art director and concept artist on multiple films like The Fox and The
Hound (1981), Tron(1982) and The Black Cauldron (1985).
Disney fired Burton later in 1985 under the pretext of the next live action film
called Frankenweenie as they say he was spending the company’s resources
on a film that would be too scary for children to see.
Burton directed his next big project: Beetlejuice (1988), a supernatural comedy
horror about a young couple forced to cope with life after death, and the family
of pretentious yuppies who invade their treasured New England home. Their
teenage daughter Lydia (Winona Ryder) is obsessed with death which allows
her to see the deceased couple. Starring Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis, and
featuring Michael Keaton as the obnoxious bio-exorcist Beetlejuice, the film
grossed $80 million on a relatively low budget and won an Academy Award for
best makeup. It would be converted into a cartoon of the same name, with
Burton playing a role as executive producer, that ran on ABC and later Fox.
In 2009 Burton appeared to comic-con to promote both 9 and Alice in
wonderland in which won two academy awards. Burtons version of alice in
wonderland was set 13 years after the original. The cast was:
Alice: Mia Wasikowska / Mad hatter: Johnny Depp/ Tweedledee and Tweedledum:
Matt Lucas/ The red queen: Helena Bonham Carter/ Chesire cat: Stephen Fry/ The
white queen: Anne Hathaway/ Absolem the caterpillar: Alan Rickman / Mctwisp the
white rabbit: Michael Sheen / Knave of hearts: Crispin Glovers. After burton’s film
became popular, he releases a sequel of Alice through the looking glass which was
