Gillian Anderson was born August 9th 1968 in and is most known for her
portrayal of Special Agent Dana Scully in The X-Files. Anderson has
been the recipient of a Primetime Emmy, a Golden Globe and two
Screen Actors Guild Awards. She is a mainstay in American TV and
Cinema as well as a heavy hitter in British TV, starring in acclaimed
BBC Crime Drama The Fall.
Gillian is perfect for the role in my TV Show as she is widely known for
her unique voice talents and her ever-present sense of style and grace
on screen, qualities widely associated with Newsreaders. She is also
known for her activism and impassioned work on multiple charitable
cases for causes such as Neurofibromatosis, Women’s Rights and
Children’s rights, making her fit in alongside intellectual characters as
well as having a demanding presence on screen.
David Tennant
David Tennant was born in Scotland on 18th April 1971 He has received a
national television award in January 2015 for special recognition after
playing several well known roles including the tenth doctor in the British
television series Doctor Who, Alec Hardy in Broadchurch, Giacomo
Casanova in the TV serial Casanova, Kilgrave in Jessica Jones and Barty
Crouch Jr. in the film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
David Tennant would be perfect for my TV Show as he is wildly popular
with a younger British Audience, gaining fame in Doctor Who and
becoming one of the most recognized British Actors of all time, being
named “Coolest Man on TV” in 2007. Tennant fits with a middle-aged
generation whilst also appealing to a younger audience.
Karen Gillan
Karen Gillan was born November 28th 1987 and she is most known for her
portrayal of Amelia Pond (the 11th Doctor’s Companion) in British TV Series
Doctor Who. She has also had multiple roles in Hollywood including he role
as Nebula in the Guardians of the Galaxy series and the upcoming Jumanji
film with Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart and Jack Black. She has also won
the National Television Award for Best Drama Performance for Doctor Who.
Karen Gillan is an up-and-coming actress and often British Actors nearing
fame use these TV Roles to make incredible impressions, often shooting to
stardom (Idris Elba and Benedict Cumberbatch being great examples of
this) and casting her in a role on a prime time TV Drama alongside Great
British actors. She has already shown herself to be capable of a dramatic
role and would therefore would be perfect for this role in my show.

Idris Elba was born September 6th 1972 and is most well known for playing
drug baron Russell “Stringer” Bell on The Wire, detective John Luther in
BBC’s Luther and Nelson Mandela in the biopic Mandela: A Long Walk to
Freedom. He has won one Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Miniseries
or TV Film (after 4 nominations) and has been nominated 5 times for a
primetime Emmy Award.
Idris Elba is an immensely popular British actor, with fan bases in many
genres from around the world, from his British audience in Luther, American
audience in The Wire and his international audience from his portrayal of
Mandela. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest actors to come out of
Britain this century and has been the bookies favorite to next play national
treasure James Bond. Booking a talent like Idris Elba for my TV Show would
almost guarantee an audience and a great performance from Elba.

ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl; Ruth in Channel 4's Fresh Meat; Mia
Bennett in the BBC's Doctor Who "The Waters of Mars" and Soo Lin in Sherlock,
She also appeared in Exam and Paramount Pictures' action-thriller Jack Ryan:
Shadow Recruit. She stars in Humans, an AMC/Channel 4 eight-part science-
fiction drama, which premiered in June 2015.
Gemma Chan is a relative newcomer to the limelight, however, she is a proven
hand in British TV and she is a very suitable choice to fill the role of Sarah in
my TV Show. Similar to Karen Gillan often British Actors nearing fame use

North & South. But it was his role as dwarf prince and leader Thorin Oakenshield in Peter
Jackson's film trilogy adaptation of The Hobbit that first brought him international
recognition. Other notable roles include John Proctor in Yaël Farber’s stage production of
Arthur Miller's The Crucible, Francis Dolarhyde in the American TV series Hannibal, Lucas
North in the British TV drama Spooks, John Porter in the British TV drama Strike Back, and
Guy of Gisborne in the British TV drama Robin Hood.
