After reading Jack Kerouac's novel "The Dharma Bums" at age 17, he became a beatnik and drifted around Australia for 5 years seeking love and enlightenment. He later settled in Sydney and studied acting for 2 years. Cumerford has now acted in several feature films, television shows, stage productions, and short films over many decades, playing a wide variety of roles. He has a natural Australian accent along with good impressions of Texas, Louisiana, and Bronx accents.
