Abstract
• Internet, a piece of technology and revolutionary invention,
can be accessed from smart phones, tablets, laptops, and
desktop computers anywhere and on all sorts of different
mediums. According to International Telecommunication
Union about 3.2 billion people (50% of the world
population) was on line in 2015, which raised to >51% by
2017; out of which 81% of the internet was used by
developed countries and rest by the developing countries .
An experimental study was conducted with the
participation of 200 people: college students (Warith
alanbia nursing college) from different stages. Statistical
analysis was performed using Microsoft Excel 2010.
•
Categorical variables were presented as percentages and
continuous variables were shown as (mean + standard
deviation). The t-test was also. College students are
especially susceptible to developing a dependence on the
Internet, more than most other segments of society. This
can be qualified to numerous factors including the
following: Availability of time; ease of use; the
psychological and developmental characteristics of young
adulthood; limited or no parental supervision; an
expectation of Internet/computer use covertly if not, as
some courses are Internet-dependent, from assignments
and projects to link with peers and mentors; the Internet
offering a way of escape from exam anxiety.
• Introduction:

• Over the last few years the use of this electronic informative source is on increase
by medical student due to its cost effectiveness and the delivery of information
from any source in no time. students and teenagers are considered to be the main
population becoming Internet addict compared to other population groups ( 2).
• . The students of internet addiction show academic problems, depression, anxiety,
change in lifestyle, aggression, sleeping and physical disorders, phobias
• and a change in attitude to their emotions, Its continues use even results in
serious consequences on lifestyle change, ignoring health and main social activities
( 3).
MATERIALS AND METHODS
Experimental Research Base
An experimental study was conducted with the participation of 200
people: college students (Warith alanbia nursing college) from
different stages.
Objectives:
The aim of the present study is to know the effect of excessive use of
the Internet on the student's productivity and scientific output.
Sample type:
We will adopt the multi-pattern questionnaire and it will be distributed
to the research community randomly for 100 male and female
students, and later we will rely on statistical analysis method to
explain the relation between AI and students.

Discussion
Internet addiction can be of various types, including
Internet addiction to social networks. The social
network is a collection of participants, united not
only by the medium of communication, but also by
the social ties between them. However, many
people are addicted to communication in social
networks, because there is a replacement of real
relationships in the virtual world, and even with
knowledge of an addiction, it is not always possible
to get rid of it.( 29)
Studies have indicated that IA is associated with different
factors. Socio-demographic factors such as age (having lower
age) , and male gender (. 32 ) Reason for internet use related
factors such as making new friendships online , getting into
relationships online , using the internet less for coursework/
assignments , visiting pornographic sites , and playing online
games ,Time related and other factors such as higher internet
usage time , ,continuous availability online , and mode of
internet access (33 )Clinical and substance related factors such
as insomnia , attention defcient disorder and hyperactivity
symptoms , being sexual inactive , low self-esteem , failure in
academic performance , smoking , and potential addictive
personal habits of, drinking alcohol or coffee, and taking drugs
( 34).
Conclusions
1)Being aware of how to properly use the technology is essential. It
means using carefully the technology – and its undeniable benefits –
without the charm of emulation and that feeling of omnipotence and
power easily produced by the Internet.
2)It is also needed reducing the daily amount of time spent on the
Internet (not more than one o two hours per day) trying not to use the
technology like a daily routine to be respected at all costs, but
completing the use of the Internet with some real life interactions like
social relations, pastimes, etc. This way the Net will not be the favorite
way of escape from reality and the only way people have to have a
contact with self and others . Prevention appears to be one of the
most useful methods to avoid addictions.
3) The lecturers need to exercise preventive action by using the latest
technology in teaching and learning such as educational websites or
applications, and relevant software so as to ensure the students are
using the internet for educational purposes only.
Recommendations
1) Family history data are limited should be
take the history to make correlation.
2) Follow-up studies are necessary to clarify
the differences after reducing the use and its
impact on the scientific output

An experimental study was conducted with the participation of 200 people: college students (Warith alanbia nursing college) from different stages. Statistical analysis was performed using Microsoft Excel 2010.
  • 5. • Categorical variables were presented as percentages and continuous variables were shown as (mean + standard deviation). The t-test was also. College students are especially susceptible to developing a dependence on the Internet, more than most other segments of society. • 16. Discussion Internet addiction can be of various types, including Internet addiction to social networks. The social network is a collection of participants, united not only by the medium of communication, but also by the social ties between them. However, many people are addicted to communication in social networks, because there is a replacement of real relationships in the virtual world, and even with knowledge of an addiction, it is not always possible to get rid of it.( 29)
  • 17. Studies have indicated that IA is associated with different factors. Socio-demographic factors such as age (having lower age) , and male gender (. 32 ) Reason for internet use related factors such as making new friendships online , getting into relationships online , using the internet less for coursework/ assignments , visiting pornographic sites , and playing online games ,Time related and other factors such as higher internet usage time , ,continuous availability online , and mode of internet access (33 )Clinical and substance related factors such as insomnia , attention defcient disorder and hyperactivity symptoms , being sexual inactive , low self-esteem , failure in academic performance , smoking , and potential addictive personal habits of, drinking alcohol or coffee, and taking drugs ( 34).
  • 18. Conclusions 1)Being aware of how to properly use the technology is essential. It means using carefully the technology – and its undeniable benefits – without the charm of emulation and that feeling of omnipotence and power easily produced by the Internet. 2)It is also needed reducing the daily amount of time spent on the Internet (not more than one o two hours per day) trying not to use the technology like a daily routine to be respected at all costs, but completing the use of the Internet with some real life interactions like social relations, pastimes, etc. This way the Net will not be the favorite way of escape from reality and the only way people have to have a contact with self and others . Prevention appears to be one of the most useful methods to avoid addictions. 3) The lecturers need to exercise preventive action by using the latest technology in teaching and learning such as educational websites or applications, and relevant software so as to ensure the students are using the internet for educational purposes only.
  • 19. Recommendations 1) Family history data are limited should be take the history to make correlation. 2) Follow-up studies are necessary to clarify the differences after reducing the use and its impact on the scientific output
