The process of self-healing of cracks or self-filling up of cracks by the help of bacterial reaction in the concrete after hardening is known as Self-Healing Concrete. It can be observed that small cracks that occur in a structure of width in the range of 0.05 to 0.1mm gets completely sealed in repetitive dry and wet cycles.

So there was a need to develop an inherent biomaterial, a self - repairing material which can remediate the cracks and fissures in concrete. Bacterial concrete is a material, which can successfully remediate cracks in concrete. This technique is highly desirable because the mineral precipitation induced as a result of microbial activities is pollution free and natural. As the cell wall of bacteria is anionic, metal accumulation (calcite) on the surface of the wall is substantial, thus the entire cell becomes crystalline and they eventually plug the pores and cracks in concrete. This paper discusses the plugging of artificially cracked cement mortar using Bacillus Pasteurii bacteria combined with sand as a filling material in artificially made cuts in cement mortar which was cured in urea and Calcium chloride medium. The effect on the compressive strength and stiffness of the cement mortar cubes due to the mixing of bacteria is also discussed in this paper. It was found that use of bacteria improves the stiffness and compressive strength of concrete. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) is used to document the role of bacteria in microbiologically induced mineral precipitation. Rod like impressions were found on the face of calcite crystals indicating the presence of bacteria in those places.
In this study, bacterial concrete is to be prepared under grade of concrete OPC 43.The design mix proportioning also carried under IS code provision. Testing of specimens are carried at 7 days ,14 days and 28 days of curing by Compression Testing Machine and Universal Testing Machine for corresponding specimens. The Compressive Strength and Flexural Strength of Bacterial Concrete are found.

Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.

The automobile showroom owner should login to the project for usage. The username and password are verified and if it is correct, next form opens. If the username and password are not correct, it shows the error message.
When a customer search for a automobile, if the automobile is available, they will be taken to a page that shows the details of the automobile including automobile name, automobile ID, quantity, price etc. “Automobile Management System” is useful for maintaining automobiles, customers effectively and hence helps for establishing good relation between customer and automobile organization. It contains various customized modules for effectively maintaining automobiles and stock information accurately and safely.
When the automobile is sold to the customer, stock will be reduced automatically. When a new purchase is made, stock will be increased automatically. While selecting automobiles for sale, the proposed software will automatically check for total number of available stock of that particular item, if the total stock of that particular item is less than 5, software will notify the user to purchase the particular item.
Also when the user tries to sale items which are not in stock, the system will prompt the user that the stock is not enough. Customers of this system can search for a automobile; can purchase a automobile easily by selecting fast. 2. INTRODUCTION
Crack formation is a typical phenomenon related to
durability.
Percolation of cracks may lead to leakage problems,
causing deterioration of the concrete matrix or
corrosion of embedded steel reinforcement.
In recent years a bacteria-based self-healing concrete
is being developed in order to extend the service life.
A two component healing agent is added to the
concrete mixture.
The agent consists of bacteria and an organic mineral
precursor compound.
3. WHAT IS BACTERIAL CONCRETE
Bacterial concrete is also called as self
healing concrete.
It is a special type of concrete which is
cement based material that repair
themselves after the material or
structure gets damaged due to some sort
of deterioration mechanism.
It is specially made to increase the
lifespan or the durability of concrete
structure by the self healing action of
concrete.
4. WHAT SPECIAL PRESENT IN BACTERIAL CONCRETE
There are two things present in bacterial concrete-
1) The special bacteria that has to resist the alkalinity and
the mechanical stress of concrete.
2) The chemical precursor to activate the bacteria.
5. WHAT BACTERIA IS USED
Most of the bacteria belongs to genus bacillus are fulfilling the
required criteria discussed above. Some of the list of the
bacteria are Bacillus. Pseudofirmus,
B.Cohnii B.Filla B.Pasteurii…..etc
The chemical precursor found to be most suitable is ‘calcium
lactate’ Ca(C3H5O2)2
6. WHAT IS HAPPENING INSIDE BACTERIAL CONCRETE(MECHANISM)
The cracks are formed on the surface of concrete due to any
reasons like shrinkage ,inadequate water for hydration…etc.
The water is deliberately forced into the crack and the
precursor is activated.
7. The chemical precursor activates the bacteria to react with
that precursor and form a base of calcium carbonate called
as lime stone ,the chemical equation is given below .
Ca(C3H5O2)+7O2 CaCO3+5CO2+5H2O
CO2+ Ca(C3H5O2) CaCO3+H2O
(Carbonation)
9. LIMITATIONS
During the study it was found that no strong spores were
detected in a 135 days old specimen, implying the
majority of the spores in the cured cement mixture were
available for less than 4 months.
The bio concrete is very expensive and is about double
cost of conventional concrete. However if the lifespan of
structure can be increased upto 30% it will automatically
bring down its cost in the longer term
10. EVALUATION
The concrete properties should not be negatively affected
by addition of healing agent to the concrete mixture .
A large amount of bacteria and certain mineral precursor
compounds like calcium lactate do substantially influence
concrete compressive and tensile strength .
Further research is needed to increase the time period
that the bacterial spores remain in the concrete and also
to make bacterial concrete feasible by decreasing its
manufacturing cost.
