This document provides an English lesson plan for elementary school students. It contains two lessons - Lesson 1 on places and Lesson 2 on a farm. Lesson 1 teaches students about prepositions of place like behind, beside, in front of and between through a dialog and exercises. Lesson 2 teaches prepositions this, that, these and those and vocabulary related to animals and objects found on a farm. Both lessons include activities like matching exercises, filling blanks, answering questions and singing songs to reinforce the grammar and vocabulary.
In this PPT, I give vocabulary, discussion, and grammar lessons for ESL students who want to talk about pets! Learn the names of animals, talk about what constitutes an "exotic pet," and learn how to use "while/whereas" and "on the other hand" to describe differences between animals! See my teaching resources website (http://www.davidteaching.blogspot.com) for the full lesson and much more.
Hello grammarians! This powerpoint presentation will present the most popular correlative conjunctions as well as the most common mistakes committed by the English speakers and writers.
Do your pupils struggle to use punctuation accurately? Our eBook helps children to learn about the different types of punctuation and how to use them. The accompanying activity sheets and display resources also encourage them to use perfect punctuation every time!

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
