and carrots that are
stir-fried in a
mixture of soy
sauce and garlic.
Pollo alla Marengo is
an Italian dish created
in honor of Napoleon’s
victory at the battle of
Marengo, Italy in June
1800. It is chicken with
mushrooms and
crayfish, sautéed in
butter and braised in
Madeira wine.
Fried Chicken is the
most popular food of
the Southern cuisine.
It is universally agreed
that the meat must be
moist, succulent, and
tender, coated with a
crunchy, golden-
brown crust.
Inasal na Manok is a
unique Filipino grilled
chicken dish which
originated in Bacolod.
It employs various
chicken cuts marinated
in a mixture of vinegar
and numerous spices
such as lemongrass,
garlic, and ginger.
