2. 3 TYPES OF CONDITIONAL
SENTENCES
 CONDITIONAL SENTENCE TYPE 1
= Real conditional in the present or future
( pengandaian yang besar kemungkinan bisa terwujud di saat ini atau
nanti, jika syarat terpenuhi = possible conditional )
 CONDITIONAL SENTENCE TYPE 2
= Unreal conditional in the present
= contrary with the fact in the present
 ( Pengandaian yang berlawanan dengan fakta sekarang ,
kemungkinan kecil bisa terwujud = improbable conditional )
 CONDITIONAL SENTENCE TYPE 3
= Unreal conditional in the past
= Contrary with the fact in the past
 ( Pengandaian yang berlawanan dengan fakta lampau , tidak
mungkin bisa terwujud= impossible conditional)

3. CONDITIONAL SENTENCE
TYPE 1
 Conditional sentence type 1
= Real Conditional in the present or future with or because of certain
condition .
= Pengandaian yang nyata , besar kemungkinan bisa terwujud bila
syarat /kondisi tertentu terpenuhi.
Pattern :
If ( Simple Present Tense ) , ( Simple Future Tense )
(+) If S + Verb 1(s/es) S + ( will / can ) + Verb1
( - ) If S + ( do/does) not +verb1 S +(will/can) not +verb 1
( Simple Future Tense ) if ( Simple Present Tense )
(+) S+ (will /can) verb 1 If S + Verb 1(s/es)
( - ) S + (will/can )not verb 1 If S+ (do/does) not verb 1

4. Keterangan:
 Conditional Sentence Type 1 : Pengandaian
yang besar kemungkinan terwujud jika kondisi
tertentu terpenuhi
 If you invite me , I will come
(Jika kamu mengundangku , saya akan datang)
 My parents will give me a new motorcycle if I
finish my study on time
(Orang tuaku akan memberi saya sepeda motor
baru jika saya menyelesaikan sekolahku tepat
waktu)

5. EXAMPLES OF:
CONDITIOANAL SENTENCES
TYPE 1
1. If they win the competition , their parents will be
proud of them
2. If I am rich , I will help the poor people.
3. If you do not go to school early you will come late
4. Mr. Brown will not get the first flight if he doesn’t go
to the airport early in the morning.
5. Miss. Sinta will buy some food in a restaurant if she
doesn’t have enough time to cook.
6. The party will be very interesting if all of the guests
come
7. What will you buy if you go to the traditional market
?
8. Where will you go if you spend your weekend ?
