Phase 1 of the student's personal project plan involves identifying a project idea. The student lists their favorite subjects, most enjoyable assignments, and interesting topics of study which include design tech, humanities, science, assignments involving research and visual presentation, architecture, history, design, and music. For project ideas, the student proposes designing something that combines history and architecture, such as models, sketches, or designs made using Google SketchUp. The student is then asked to name their project, choosing the Area of Interaction focus of Human Ingenuity. The student's draft project goal is to design a hotel that is different in design, style, and theme from others. After further refinement, the student decides their final project will
