Bama soils are the state soil of Alabama. They formed in deep deposits of sandy sediments and are located across western and central Alabama. Bama soils are very deep and well-drained, suitable for growing crops like cotton and corn as well as pastures and woodlands. They cover over 360,000 acres across 26 counties.
