- 3. CONTENT 1.1 What is a syllable? -A syllable is a single uninterrupted sound that is in every single word. Some words can have just one syllable, but some words can have more than one syllable.
- 4. CONTENT 1.2 The sound of where the word breaks up is called the syllable. Sometimes its easy to feel where the word is supposed to break up by touching your throat when you say the word Or, you can clap the words.. Lets try some!
- 5. PRACTICE Dog (CLAP) = 1 syllable Hotdog (CLAP CLAP) = 2 syllables Rainbow (CLAP CLAP) = 2 syllables Elephant (CLAP CLAP CLAP) = 3 syllables Clouds (CLAP) = 1 syllable
