3. Intoduction
• The customer’s behavior of stealing electricity comes in non-stopping
emergence.
• This infraction phenomenon has seriously affected the normal operation
of the power grid and the economic benefits of power enterprises.
• The electricity theft rate in developing countries is as high as 30%, and
the social power supply and consumption has also been greatly
influenced.
• Therefore, power enterprises must carry out efficient anti-electricity-theft
work, in order to guarantee the reasonable power supply and rational use
of electricity, thus to reduce economic losses as much as possible.
4. Existing work
• An Automatic Meter Reading system with detection system for
illegal electricity usage.
• Every user is connected to each other via modems, using power
lines.
• AMR is a technique to facilitate remote readings of energy
consumption.

6. Problem Formulation
• The main aim of this project is to avoid the theft of power by using an
Arduino uno .
• This system we can avoid the illegal and unwanted power consumption by
greedy people.
7. Proposed work
• Studied the detailed requirements for our project and we are yet to formulate
most of it.
• Discovered the modules and equipments required and drafted a neat and
clear budget to purchase the components based on the utilities.
