This document discusses the significance and symbolism of blood in both the physical body and scripture. Physically, red blood cells carry oxygen to tissues and carbon dioxide back to the lungs, while white blood cells fight infection and platelets help with clotting. Scripturally, blood represents life and is required for atonement of sins, as seen in sacrifices and ultimately through Jesus' death on the cross which allows for redemption, justification, propitiation, and washing from sins through his blood.
