This document discusses possessive nouns and how to form them. Possessive 's is used to show possession or owning. To make a singular noun possessive, add 's to the end of the noun. To make a plural noun possessive that does not end in s, add 's to the end. This shows that something belongs to or is possessed by the noun. Examples are given such as "the dog's collar" where the collar belongs to the dog and "the skies' color" where the color belongs to more than one sky.
