Employment Relations
Describe how the Unitarist and Pluralist approaches to conflict would explain the industrial action
taken by the Construction Forestry and Mining Employees Union in forming the Barangaroo picket
line. Introduction: This essay will discuss the two different management approaches towards to the
recent industrial action taken against Lend Lease and identify what differentiate the two approaches.
The second part of the essay will provide an argument of how applying these approaches from the
upper management could potentially change the outcome of the industrial action against Lend Lease.
Body: Pluralist approach: The characteristic of pluralist approach is to satisfy various interests and
aspirations within their employees. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This action has caused Lend lease sites in lockdown across the country, as stated by one of the
employee Brain Parker The company is not currently bargaining in good faith The above event shows
that if Lend Lease has followed the pluralist approach, the action may be able to be under control as
Lend Lease will act by considering the words and the issues rose between the management and the
employees and can act accordingly to the issue. However, according to the examples shown, Lend
Lease seems to have been following the unitarist approach which has in fact, escalated the conflicts
between the management and their employees as shown in the article published by green Left. The
article mentioned that Lend Lease did not made a sincere approach to the negotiation and offered
something that the Union consider as a joke which did not loosen the tension but added more stress on
top of it. Identify which one of the approaches provides the better explanation. Explain your
reasoning. Based on the industrial action that has been taken against Lend Lease, it shows that Lend
Lease was first using the Unitarist approach to their employees by not willing to negotiate with their
new proposal. This has than created an enormous negative impact on both the social and the company
as the projects were likely being delayed due to the industrial actions. Conclusion: In conclusion, Lend
Lease would have been able to

Central American Employment Laws Essay
There are many differences regarding employment laws worldwide. Some countries have created and
modified employment laws that will benefit the employer and even more the employee. Central
American countries have many laws and departments that organize the labour force of their countries,
while the United States provide of laws and agencies dedicated to regulate everything regarding the
labour areas of the country. Central American countries provide of several benefits for the employee
by law that companies in the public and private sector are required to fulfil. Some benefits that are
required every year are, in the case of Nicaragua, the thirteenth month of payment known as
Aguinaldo in Spanish, and one month of paid vacations. Alike Central American Countries, the United
States do not provide the thirteenth month of payment, and the vacations are less than one moth
depending of the company. In Central America, the stage of pregnancy of a woman is accompanied by
some benefits to all working pregnant mothers. These benefits include a pre/post natal period which
are 40 day before and after birth with payment. Also, in the event that a working woman gets
pregnant, the company will not be able to dismiss her from work because of her condition. On the
other hand, in the United States, there is the Pregnancy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Intersectional Discrimination Against African American Women
During Crenshaw s talk, she focused on the intersectional discrimination African American women
face. She got her point across by having the audience listen to and try to recognize names of black
men and women who experienced police brutality. I believe the main reason society has not
recognized these types of victims is due to lack of media coverage. According to an article on USA
Today, ...the data show that police incidents involving women of color occur at a disproportionately
high level compared with media coverage. (Clark, 2016) Because of this lack of coverage, many
people in society do not realize this type of crime is happening. I asked a friend for his thoughts on the
topic, and he said crimes committed against black women by

Variola rex smallpox
Variola rex (Smallpox)
Smallpox is a virus that was first founded in ancient times. The virus?s proper name is Variola rex, and
it has various different forms as well as various symptoms. Among these forms are typical smallpox,
hemorrhagic smallpox, and malignant smallpox, all of which usually always cause death in their
victims. Some of the typical symptoms of smallpox include red vesicles and pustules all over,
bleeding from all orifices of the body, swelling in the face, throat, and eyes, difficulty eating and
swallowing, delirium, malaise, deterioration of the bone marrow, lymph nodes and mucus membranes
of the body, and a multitude of other secondary symptoms. Smallpox is typically diagnosed by ruling
out the possibility of other ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the introductory stages of the rash the small bumps are filled with a clear fluid and are known as
vesicles, but as the virus progresses the vesicles become hard and scab over. The fluid inside the
vesicles turns into puss and the large bumps then become known as pustules. The rash becomes fully
developed between 12 and 14 days after the symptoms of the disease appear. As the disease follows its
course, symptoms become more and more severe and uncomfortable for the patient. Red spots on the
patient begin to turn black, while others turn white, the individual experiences strong delirium,
hemorrhages of blood at the anus, mouth, and nose, raw flesh from the stripping of the skin, and
fistulous ulcers in the ligaments, body, limbs, and joints. Smallpox is also associated with the
unbelievable amount of swelling and protuberance in the throat and eyes, which obstruct vision as
well as the ability to swallow and perform similar functions. The virus also causes the rotting of the
ligaments and bones.
Because the smallpox virus attacks the mucus membranes, bone marrow, and lymph nodes of the
body, most patients obtain the gruesome disfigurement of the face and nose and limbs.( Bollet
1987). The previous stage of the smallpox infection is known as the second stage, which is most
commonly and not surprisingly a phase at which most individuals do not survive. Those that do

Etiology Of Asthma
1.3 Etiology and risk factors: There are different heterogeneous phenotypes for asthma that vary in
presentation, pathophysiology and etiology. The risk factors for each recognized phenotype of asthma
include genetic, host, environmental factors and family history.[23] Factors that can contribute to
asthma or airway hyperreactivity may include any of the following:
1 Environmental allergens: (e.g., house dust mites, animal allergens, especially cat and dog, cockroach
allergens and fungi).
2 Gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD): The presence of acid in the distal esophagus, mediated via
vagal or other neural reflexes, can significantly increase airway resistance and airway reactivity.

10 Occupational factors : Associated with 10 15% of adult asthma cases. More than 300 specific
occupational agents have been associated with asthma. Farming, painting, janitorial work, and plastics
manufacturing are considered to be high risk jobs .
11 Exercise induced asthma (EIA), or exercise induced bronchoconstriction (EIB), is an asthma
variant defined as a condition in which exercise or vigorous physical activity triggers acute
bronchoconstriction in persons with heightened airway reactivity. It is observed primarily in persons
who have asthma (exercise induced bronchoconstriction in asthmatic persons). Exercise induced
bronchoconstriction is often a neglected diagnosis, and the underlying asthma may be silent in as
many as 50% of patients, except during exercise. [36, ]

Analysis of Jonathan Harr´s A Civil Action Essay
Jonathan Harr wrote a compelling novel, called A Civil Action, on the actual events of a thrilling court
case involving two major corporations and the families who were affected greatly. In Woburn,
Massachusetts there were twenty eight children who contracted acute lymphocytic leukemia between
the years of 1964 and 1986. The explanation for the contraction of the disease and even the death of
some of the children was discovered in the water; two municipal wells near the town were found to be
contaminated with toxic chemicals. Eight families filed suit against W.R. Grace Co. and Beatrice
Foods Inc., accusing them for the contamination of the wells and the death of their children. The
families only wanted an apology and the truth but when ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In a conversation with Schlichtmann, Facher stated, the truth? I thought we were talking about a court
of law. Come on, you ve been around long enough to know that a courtroom isn t a place to look for
the truth. Facher also stated, truth is found at the bottom of a bottomless pit. If truth is never found in
court, it must ve taken a lot of nerve to take on the Woburn case. Facher s words provide proof that
achieving victory is far more important than providing the facts and discovering truth, in his opinion.
His actions and tactics indeed worked for him.
Furthermore, the chances of the plaintiff winning a civil court case are low. When it comes to it, a
settlement is commonly agreed on before a verdict is even presented. Schlichtmann didn t want the
case and refused at first because he knew it was going to be tough. He explained his reasons for not
wanting the case in his quote:
The odds of a plaintiff s lawyer winning in civil court are two to one against. Think about that for a
second. Your odds of surviving a game of Russian roulette are better than winning a case at trial. 12
times better. So why does anyone do it? They don t. They settle. Out of the 780,000, only 12,000 or
11/2 percent ever reach a verdict. The whole idea of lawsuits is to settle, to compel the other side to
settle. And you do that by spending more money than you should, which forces them to spend more
money than they should, and

Every Man in this Village is a Liar
Prologue
In this chapter Stack describes the effects of conflict on the lives of both people who have experienced
war and people who have not experienced war. Stack provides an example in the form of her relative,
John a former American marine. John was sent to Beirut to combat the Hezbollah and whilst fighting
there he experienced the true nature of war. He returned later however he wasn t all right . He
committed suicide due to the effects of war and the conflicts that he experienced. Thus Stack came to
the conclusion that after being in a war zone, you could survive and not survive, both at the same time

She realised that people of any age will do anything to assist what they are fighting for. Furthermore,
Stack lived through a portion of the second Palestinian intifada. During this struggle countless suicide
bombers came by day and Israeli tanks acquired Palestinian land in the West Bank by night. Stack
describes this period of time as complete chaos, where, violence fed violence. Blood washed blood .
Stack knew a Palestinian woman who was a victim of the brutality during the first intifada. She was
tortured during the days of this time period for being part of an underground Palestinian political
movement. Stack s Palestinian friend was tortured for days, beaten, abused, threatened with rape by a
barbaric Israeli interrogator. Although she faced strong hostility from the interrogator, she also faced
kindness in the form of an anonymous Israeli man who sat with her hour after dark hour and attempted
to help her get through the pain. This shows that an individual can interact with both negative and
positive things throughout a conflict. Stack later faced a conflict when she wrote a feature about how
the body parts of suicide bombers had caused a policy debate in Israel. This feature caused Stack to
receive hundreds of hate mails regarding as to how she humanized [suicide bombers] by writing about
them as actual people with families.

American Dream In The Great Gatsby
F. Scott Fitzgerald s life shows the true meaning of the American Dream in the novel The Great
Gatsby. F. Scott Fitzgerald was born on September 24, 1896, in Saint Paul Minnesota. He was named
Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald after his distant cousin Francis Scott Key who wrote the Star Spangled
Banner. Being named after a famous American would foreshadow his life becoming a true
representation of what it means to be patriotic, and live in the American Dream, especially in the 1920

Women In Christianity And Islam
Christianity and Islam both believe women are inferior to men. However, historically, women had
more rights in Islam than in Christianity. Both religions have similarities along with its differences in
how women were treated through the religion. Women had little to no rights by any means in both
religions, one a little harsher than the other. Christianity and Islam both believe women are inferior to
men. The reason for this is that many stories in the Christian Scripture as being less spiritual as men.
For example, Women are known to be crated in both Islam and Christianity from man and for man. By
this being said, in the book Genesis, Eve was the one who was deceived by the shake. Islam like
Christianity, also saw women as inferior. Women ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

the war time, schooling, and job opportunities increased for women. They were able to work for the
army, the government, along with other jobs. However this did not last long. Even though it did not
stay to be true, we can still say that women had more rights in Islam. This would not even be a thought
in Christianity. Many roles if not all were strictly only allowed to be filled by man. There was not even
a thought in anyone s mind that a women would be able to successfully complete a role in the work
force. The women was to stay at home, keep the house clean, do all the chores and demands that were
left for them, take care of the children if they had any, do sowing or stitching for clothing and make

What Happened To Disney Films Summary
Disney movies are in themselves fairy tales meant to be enjoyed by young audiences and approved by
parents concerned with how they re children are developing. In John Evans What s Happened to
Disney Films? the author believes Disney films aren t what they used to be like. He argues that Disney
has produced children movies that have overly dark villains such as Ursula from Little Mermaid
whose bizarre appearance can strike fear into small children, and argues little mermaids has suggestive
undertones. He makes a similar case for Aladdin, stating that several scenes could strike fear into
children specifically the main antagonist Jafar who manipulates others violently for his own sinister
agenda in the movie. He again states there s suggestive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He clearly is a devoted Christian which is fine, but getting upset over movies that depict other beliefs I
find is too sheltering. I suppose I m more of a believer that everyone should go on their own path
regardless of your parent s beliefs, of course when you reach an age where you can decide on your
own. He was very negative towards all the movies that depicted any beliefs that weren t his own,
bringing the idea that he s a close minded individual. I do agree Disney should refrain from putting
suggestive material from their movies intended for children, but in that same mindset should we
refrain from teaching of natural sciences that may depict material of the same nature. In the end
censorship leads to a false sense of reality, like it or not people have sex and reproduce. Children will
find all of this through studying animals in grade school, the idea of a stork bringing babies will only
work for so long. His criticism of Little Mermaid is border line sexist; women should feel empowered
by their bodies not ashamed of them. Regarding his feelings towards colonists being depicted rather
monstrous in Pocahontas, what I recollect from history is colonists largely were monstrous. The
romanticized version of the colonists shaking hands and having a nice Thanksgiving isn t how most
encounters between the various tribes and settlers went. Colonists brought disease and war which

The Progress Of Romance By Defoe
Introduction
The Novel is a picture of real life and manners and of the time in which it is written. The Romance, in
the lofty and elevated language, describes what never happened nor is likely to happen .
Clara Reev, The Progress of Romance, 1785.
The term novel is derieved from an Itaian word novella, a devised prose narrative of substantial length

In the 19th Century, the novel became the central form of Western literature, many works are

American Pie Is A Song That Made A Huge Impact On Americans
American Pie is a song that made a huge impact on Americans in any time period. Don McLean sang
about the events from the nineteen fifties through nineteen seventies after Buddy Holly s death. Many
events from those years are controversial. McLean also stated how music changed from these decades.
Rock n Roll used to be popular since the fifties. American Pie by Don McLean describes the transition
in Rock n Roll music from the iconic history of the mid nineteen hundred. Nonetheless, many critics
assume the first line of the chorus relates to McLean s relationship with the Miss America contestant.
According to the Understanding American Pie website, the catchy phrase, So bye bye, Miss American
Pie, refers to, the beauty queen Miss America (Fann 3). During McLean s successful career, he dated
Miss America, which Americans said that she is as American as an apple pie. She represents the
simplicity in American history that carried meaning. Miss America does not correlate with the theme
of the song. The transformation of Rock n Roll music was impacted by different elements instead of
Miss America. The lyric, So bye bye, Miss American Pie, that Americans assume is the Miss America

Albert Bandura Created The Social Cognitive Theory, Which
Albert Bandura created the Social Cognitive Theory, which is actions shown or displayed in front of a

children, mostly aggression in younger children. With Bandura s theory we will learn about why it is
so important to demonstrate it in the classroom, the key points of this theory and learn more about
Albert Bandura and how he came up with the theory.

In this experiment it was trial and error since it was influence by consequences that punished or
correct bad behavior (2016). The main concept that we see how children are learning is through
watching adults and peers around them. Observational also has some subcomponents that are listed in
Educational Learning Theories ( pg 22 ) as attention, retention, production, and motivation. Attention
is where the child is actually watching the model and retention is how the child is choosing to
remember what happened with the model, if it was a good or bad interaction and how they will use it
later in life. Production is where children are pulling retention back from their memory and learning
how to use that interaction in real life. An example would be when a child watches an adult sneeze and
then another adult says bless you and then the person who sneezed says thank you, if the child hears a
peer sneeze they will say bless you since they have seen this interaction before and now know how to
interact in this situation. And then motivation is where the child puts into action what they have
learned which would be when they hear a peer sneeze and they say bless you. How the child chooses
to use these key concepts is all dependent on their own personal developmental process.

Pros And Cons Of Enhancing Competitive Markets
Increasing Competition There is no such thing as free markets . That is why I call them competitive
markets . All real markets are political institutions in which some form of market masters, usually
government, regulate economic competition among different groups within a society. On August 31st
1910 Republican Theodore Roosevelt delivered a fiery speech in Kansas. The former president
celebrated the extraordinary new commercial power but also gave warning that America s industrial
economy had been taken over by a handful of corporate giants that were generating an unparalleled
wealth for a small number of people are exercising a growing control over America s politics.
Roosevelt cautioned that the county founded on the principle of equal opportunity was in danger of
becoming a land of corporate privilege, and pledged to do whatever he could to bring the new giants

policies need to limit hindering incentives, initiative, innovation, productivity, investment, research

Cheesecake Factory Healthcare Analysis
There are major differences between the US health care system and the Cheesecake Factory that
should be kept in mind. Contrary to the Cheesecake Factory, health care facilities are focused more on
the accessibility of the system for staff use and not patient use. Healthcare is something everyone will
encounter at some point in their life. The cheesecake factory does not have this problem; the restaurant
makes a profit solely because people decide to eat there. Healthcare is a permanent business. If you
have a chronic disease, broken bones or are simply sick you don t contemplate whether or not you
seek medical treatment, it is mandatory. The difference between Cheesecake factory and Health Care
facilities is patient eduacation. The most important thing, within the hospital setting, is patient
education... says Dr. Tracy Lawrence (Gruessner 2015). At the Cheesecake Factory you can pick
where you want to sit, what you want to order, whether or not you want dessert, and how much you
want to spend. At a hospital this is completely decided by your physician. Imagine that the cheesecake

Money How The Destruction Of The Dollar Threatens The...
Throughout time, gold has preserved its value better than any other precious material (Forbes and
Ames 131). Even with that known there are still arguments against the gold standard. A few of those
arguments are; there isn t enough gold on earth for a gold standard, gold will tie a governments hands
and prevent growth, or how gold shows too much price volatility to be a reliable anchor, but the 21st
century gold standard challenges the validity of those arguments. In Steve Forbes and Elizabeth Ames
book, Money: How the Destruction of the Dollar Threatens the Global Economy and What We Can
Do About It, they do a wonderful job describing the biggest fears people have if the United States
returns to a gold standard (Forbes and Ames 155). The first concern is that there isn t enough gold in
the world to have a gold standard today. Based on today s global economy, including the U.S
monetary base, that is correct but doesn t much matter. Having a piece of gold for every dollar on
earth is a general misconception. Gold doesn t have to be based on the global supply. It must be used
as a stable yard stick of value (147). Lack of knowledge of gold backed currency is the reason people
are so afraid. There are plenty of countries that don t have an ounce of gold. As long as gold is used as
a measurement tool, those countries can tie their currency to the U.S. dollar, which is then tied to gold.
In fact, not any country to this day has ever had 100% of its money backed by gold. This

The Absolutely True Diary Of A Part Time Indian, By...
Matthew Murphy Nyquist English 5 30 April 2015 Reservations or Restrictions According to 2010 US
Census projections, 22% of our nation s 5.2 million Native Americans live on reservations or tribal
land. This may not seem to be an alarming statistic to most people. However, upon further
examination of the living conditions, education, and life altering effects that go along with living on
an Indian reservation, this statistic may appear slightly more alarming. The effects of growing up on a
reservation is a commonly overlooked topic that many don t give a second glance. Unfortunately,
there are issues that should be seen by the common person and with the knowledge of these issues, can
possibly alter a person outlook on reservations in the US. In the novel, The Absolutely True Diary of a
Part Time Indian, by Sherman Alexie, the author sheds light on the darkness of growing up on a
reservation by telling a semi auto biographical story about a teen struggling with dissimilar
aspirations. Biography: Sherman Alexie was born in Spokane, Washington, on October 7th, 1966. His
parents were both of Native American descent, albeit two different tribes. He grew up on the Spokane
Indian reservation. Alexie was born with Hydrocephalus, which is also known as water on the brain.
At the age of six months, Alexie went into surgery and wasn t expected to make it out alive. When he
overcame the odds and survived the procedure, doctors assumed he would have to live with severe

Canada s Aging Population
Canada is on the verge of running into a large increase in the number of elderly people who will need
quality health care in the next few years. In fact, in the report Canada s population estimates: Age and
sex, 2014 , (Statistics Canada Demography Division 2014) it states that, on July 1, 2014, 15.7% of
Canada s population (nearly one in six Canadians) was aged 65 and older... Furthermore, seniors
would account for between 24% and 28% of the population by the year 2063 . This report targets the
challenges the elderly population in Canada face in their health care system, how these issues are
going to get worse with the expected aging population, as well as some possible improvements that

In the article Don t Seniors Deserve Better? (MacQueen, K. 2011), MacQueen writes that many
elderly patients in the midst of a medical crisis go straight to the hospital and stay there, tied to
machines, consuming high tech resources to little effect, growing weaker until the dim hope of a
nursing home bed is made available. He also continues by saying that elderly citizens suffer a five
percent functional decline for every day in hospital. This is a great issue; the fact being that Canada
does not have enough long term facilities for the elderly population to stay in nursing homes is not
being fair to the seniors of Canada. In fact, (MacQueen K. 2011) remarks, that each day in Canada,
7550 hospital beds are filled with the elderly who should be in long term care nursing homes or in
rehabilitation, yet they cannot get this option. Also, outside of the hospital, many elderly people run
into the financial crisis of caring for their medical needs without the help of the Canadian
Government. In the article The unexpected costs of caring for your elderly parents (Leong, M. 2014)
Peter Silin says, People think the government will pay for home care and nursing homes which they
will, but that help is really limited. In fact, Seven in 10 caregivers were providing some sort of
financial assistance to their parents or aging relatives, a 2012 BMO survey suggested, and half of
these individuals said they had to adjust their own retirement plans as a result. (Leong, M. 2014). With
that, it costs $1,000 to keep a person in a hospital bed for a day, long term care costs $130 a day, and
home care costs $55 dollars a day. (Simpson, C., Caissie M., Velji, K. 2015). After looking at the
negative impacts of keeping our elderly in the hospitals, as MacQueen stated earlier, elderly citizens

The Issue Of Food Safety
Food safety is important , millions of people become seriously ill every year by the consumption of
unsafe food. Major outbreaks of food borne disease have been recorded on every continent in the past
10 years and its on the rise. legislation is used to enforce food safety and food standards within the
meat industry as it is an essential part of the legislative framework to cultivate good safety habits in all
individuals, to engender a strong safety culture in the workplace. legislation emphasis s the
importance of managing workplace health and safety proactively and stipulates that every person must
take reasonably practicable steps to ensure the safety and health of every workplace and worker. Most
legislation comes from the European Union (Brussels) where it is passed to Westminster (London) and
then down to Scotland (Edinburgh) some legislation is passed directly from the European union to
Scotland as Scotland in the 1707 the act of union abolished the separate parliaments for Scotland and
England, and created a single parliament in London (The Scottish Government) . However Scotland
still kept many of its features including its separate legal system.

Richard Cory By Edward Arlington Robinson

ENGL 102 007
Professor Estes
December 10, 2015
An Unexpected End
Richard Cory , by Edward Arlington Robinson is a narrative poem about how a collective group of
people perceive a man of high status. The townspeople look up to Richard Cory and strive to be just
like him. For the most part, the poem itself is quite basic and somewhat uneventful. However, the
reasons I take an interest in the poem are based on Robinson s decision to write the poem so plainly,
the phrases used to describe Richard Cory, and the shocking finale.
Once the reader begins to really analyze the poem it is apparent that it was not written in a very
complex or thought provoking manner. The poem itself is written with an ABAB rhyme scheme and
without much ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Everything in the poem up until this point had been written in a sort of simplistic manner. Richard
Cory s death is a surprise to everyone who reads the poem because there is no obvious hint to why he
would commit suicide. The poem leaves us thinking why would a man with such poise do something
like that to himself? I believe that this is a great example of the phrase, looks can be deceiving .
Throughout the poem, we are only told how Richard Cory was perceived through the eyes of the town.
The reader never gets to learn anything about Richard Cory from himself. I feel that the contrast
between how the poem sounds and what ultimately happens in the end really gives this poem its
meaning. Ultimately, Richard Cory is a poem about how one man can have it all and yet still feel
alone. Despite his effort to normalize himself by visiting the town, he was still seen as the outsider.
Over time, Richard Cory s status and wealth began his fall into a friendless depression that lead to his

Personal Statement In Water Engineering
The best revenge is massive success. Frank Sinatra
It may seem wired, but the sense of revenge threw me into the field of water engineering. I spent most
of my childhood outdoors on my father s farm close to a small city in the west of the province. As a
hobby, my father gave me a small part of his farm, where I grew up different crops with his help.
During that time, I enjoyed nothing more than to see the farms green. But those days did not last long
and water scarcity impacted the farm s yield, resulted in water conflicts between farmers. The whole
income of the family depleted and left no choice other than selling the farm and migrating to the
capital of the province for other means of income. During high school when my classmates were
thinking about the major primary branches of engineering such as chemistry, mechanic and electric for
their post secondary education, I was thinking about a different major. I missed ... Show more content

Man the mast! , Down with the sails, she s going down! the captain barks orders out of fear of losing

make your way below deck to thank him but as you turn the corner, you see him take his shirt off to

Piracy, many women have been involved in expeditions on the seven seas. Throughout history we

society carried over to the ships and crews. We see that many pirates and captains did not allow
women on board their ships or to be a part of their crews. In Under the Black Flag by David
Cordingly, we see that Mary Read and Anne Bonny both joined crews while being disguised as men

the men were surprised to find that Anne and Mary were in fact women because they had functioned
just as equally as men did. In fact, Anny Bonny and Mary Read were surprised to find that the other

Using Breaking Free Of Old Ways Of Thinking Outside The Box
Thinking outside the box is a common idiom used to express the idea of breaking free of old ways of
thinking. In a real sense, the walls of the box are the borders of our thoughts. Moving past those
barriers is considered not only a good thing, but a necessary thing. Yet this is not only about travel. I
could have stayed in my home country to study, but I chose instead to bet on myself and apply
internationally. As a result I was offered a full paid scholarship. And took this opportunity to place
myself as far from my comfort zone. I wanted to not just think outside the box, but exist entirely
outside of it.

prominent theme in 9 Jakhoo Hill. The great economic and political questions of the time, the play set

Elements Of Network Security Essay
Elements of Network Security
Introduction
The primary objective of a network security system is to, in a cost effective manner, balance
convenient access to legitimate users and inaccessibility to attackers. In a nutshell, the goal is to
prevent connectivity to anyone intending to cause harm to the network. The harm to which this paper
refers can come in the following forms:
1. Application level security threats, such as e mail viruses and attachments.
2. Threats to network infrastructure devices.
3. Theft of network connectivity services.
4. Unauthorized access from internal and external sources.
5. Denial of service attacks.
Using a proper network security strategy reduces and, in some cases, even avoids the listed harmful ...

But these tools alone do not provide adequate system security – a policy for system users, as
mentioned above, that is based on the identification and prioritization of threats and assumed threats
helps to maintain the network s health. The key feature of the policy is an ongoing training program
that teaches all users the importance and value of including safe system user practices in their daily
routine. Users are more likely to follow security practices if they understand the purpose of the
practice and the consequences when these practices aren t used. Added to the training is a physical and
electrical restriction of access to sensitive information and areas to users who have no business
purpose for using such access. To ensure that the preventive measures are functioning effectively,
regular audits of the security policy are performed. Log on IDs are checked to verify their validity, and
the users activities are monitored to determine if the policies are being followed.
Detection
The next element of a network security system is system violation detection, or intrusion detection.
This is an effort, should a system violator manage to breach the security of the network, to catch the
violation before any real damage can be done to the network. The most common approach to intrusion
detection is based on the belief that violations can be discovered by looking for abnormal system
usage, or scanning the system in

Becoming A Better Writer
Before, when an essay is assigned, I usually begin by free writing. Free writing is a technique in which
a person writes continuously without worrying about spelling, grammar, or topic. Once I have
brainstormed, I put it all together and organize them in a clean way. After I have finished my rough
draft, I reread it multiple times, adding, changing, and deleting anything I believe can be improved.
Once I think I have done the best I can, I write my final.
Recently, my teacher has given me advice and helpful points on becoming a better writer. Writing is
not a task that can get better over night; writing is an art. We learn by mimicking the professionals,
and making it into our own interpretation. I have learned that when writing an essay, you

Ambitions are extremely important to possess, but could cause others to stare at one with discontent

gang accomplishes their ambition by performing an action that seems impossible and foolish. As the
story progresses, the children are faced with the challenge that they could be caught by Old Misery. T

But as the poem progresses, the character from the reading has evidently forgotten about proper
traditions and values that he grew up with. The character in this poem can be related to the character
from Chris from the short story Horses of the Night. Chris dreamt big and always followed his dreams

would often take menial jobs and work hard for himself. As the poem says the American tradition of

in a big city, even though he grew up in a small settlement. He left all his of his family and friends,
along with his traditions and pride, behind as he left for Winnipeg. This sudden disappearance had a
huge impact on Vanessa because she idolized and respected Chris, but as the same time, she was glad

everything behind for the big city and trying to accomplish something. When Chris was on the verge
of failure, it impacted him greatly, whereas he would degrade himself for money. He took many jobs
as a salesman, going around working for his rich boss, while he made little money. Chris had lost his

How Does Woolf Present Death In The Death Of The Moth
The principle downfall to life is that it will unfailingly conclude in death. In The Death of the Moth,
Virginia Woolf presents the struggle with mortality and the overall acceptance that death cannot be
beaten. Using similes, metaphors, and personification to express the experience she has with a moth,
Woolf is able to take a trivial occurrence and fill it with significance. Woolf encounters a moth flying
near a window. While observing the moth, she compares it to a tiny bead of pure life because of its
dancing and zigzagging, showing the ability the moth has to exemplify the liveliness of existence.
Rather than declaring characteristics of the moth, Woolf states they are not gay like butterflies and not
somber like their own species. She defines moths traits unjoyful and unable to fit into even their own
kinds by contrasting it to other insects. As Woolf continues to ... Show more content on

First, the moth is content with life a feeling the reader may share with the moth. Woolf states that the
moth enthusiastically appreciates meager opportunities to the full. The enjoyment of such measly
opportunities displays the moth s primitive, naïve nature. This nature follows the moth all of the way
until the end; the moth gives into death because it knows it s weaker. During the last minutes of the
moth s life, Woolf searches for the enemy against which he [struggles]. There is no actual enemy
present; death is personified as the enemy. The moth s body [relaxes], and instantly [grows] stiff and it

impermanent life. Moths do not have the advanced sense to feel the sensation to appreciate
opportunities or to make the decision to succumb to death. Woolf provides the moth with these human
qualities to make the moth significant enough for the reader to relate

Essay On Alexander II And The Failure Of The Serfs
Intentions of Alexander II and the Failure of the Emancipation of the Serfs
In the 19th century it was estimated that about 50 per cent of the 40,000,000 peasants in Russia were
serfs, who worked on the land and were owned by the Russian nobility, the Tsar and religious
foundations. This had been true for centuries; in 1861, however, this was all changed when Tsar
Alexander II emancipated the serfs and gave them freedom from ownership. Alexander s decision was
based on many reasons, and did not have the desired consequences, for the serfs at least. Therefore, it
is possible to question Alexander s motives for such large reform, which this essay will do and will
also look at why the emancipation, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A large part of the problem was serfdom Russia needed millions of industrial workers, to free up land
and to force the nobility to relinquish power to a certain extent. The Tsar was also aware that much of
western Europe looked on serfdom as being akin to slavery, and looked down on Russia as a result. As
one historian has remarked:
The strip system, involving the use of antiquated farming implements and techniques, had long ago
been abandoned on the agriculturally advanced nations. Its continued use in Russia was a major
reason why the nation could not meet it s food needs. [1]
Alexander was also acutely aware of the threat of a serf uprising. Despite the general contentedness of
the majority of serfs, there were a significant number who were not happy, and many groups of
political activists, such as the Narodniks, had begun stirring up discontentment. In a population of 67
million, Russia had 23 million serfs belonging to 103,000 landlords. Serfs therefore outnumbered their
landlords by over 200 to one, and so Alexander was right to be concerned about what might happen
should a large uprising occur. His worries were plainly stated when he addressed the State Council in
January 1861:

Oedipus Heroic Qualities
I decided to write on The Tragic Hero In Oedipus Tyrannus because I know that there is a hero within
the tragedy that he suffers. The epic poem know for his downfall by avoiding fate, which in turn can
not be avoided, can be reintroduced as a gift from the Gods. Oedipus can be seen as giving the people
of Thebes a man with heroic qualities and acting upon these qualities, versus being the result of a
Laius curse. I will prove that journey is the real reason for the epic poem, with the process of
foreshadows helping design the conclusion of the complete heroic persona.
Oedipus has a the noble qualities of a hero to include courage, fearlessness, selflessness, and strong
character. There a times in which his actions reflected these traits of being a great heroic example to
the people of Thebes. There are few instances that will be sampled from the epic drama to draw the
attention that the fate placed upon Oedipus make him more of a hero than a fulfilled curse. ... Show

Biofilms are communities of bacterial cells. Bacterial cells become much more antibiotic tolerant by
forming biofilms. Antibiotic resistance causes more than two million infections and 23,000 deaths in
the United States every year. It is really urgent that we need to understand the biofilm formation so
that we can develop novel antibiotics. People have found out that there are some signaling molecules,
which are critical for biofilm formation. However, we do not know how the distributions of signaling
molecules determine individual cell fate during tolerance and persistence development. Studying the
spatial and temporal distributions of signaling molecules in single cell level will help us understanding
the mechanism of biofilm formation. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Spinach was discovered using the Systematic Evolution of Ligands by Exponential Enrichment
(SELEX) technique against DFHBI immobilized on agarose resin. People have developed Spinach
based sensors against adenosine, ADP, S adenosyl methionine (SAM), guanine, cyclic di GMP (c di
GMP) and GTP using existing aptamer sequences. A key challenge for RNA based sensors is that they
normally function poorly in cells. This is because RNA is easily degraded by nuclease and also has
poor folding in intracellular. Poor folding RNA can be contributed by many elements, such as the
difference folding structures and thermal instability, or rely on ion concentration. Later people
developed 49 nt long aptamer Broccoli, which has brighter green fluorescence upon binding DFHBI.
Folding of Broccoli only needs low concentration of magnesium and the Mg2+ presents low amount
in body so Broccoli can fold better than Spinach. Broccoli also has a higher thermostability than
Spinach. Additionally, Broccoli does not require a tRNA scaffold to promote its folding in vivo.
However, under cellular imaging conditions, Spinach and Broccoli show greatly reduced fluorescence
compared with nominal brightness. It has been known that the fluorescence decrease of
Spinach−DFHBI is not due to irreversible photobleaching like GFP. It is caused by reversible
conversion to a non fluorescent state and the signal can be recovered

Friar Relationship In Romeo And Juliet
Have you ever had a father that wasn t actually your father? He was just a person who cared so much
about your wellbeing that He was a father to you. William Shakespeare, author of Romeo and Juliet,
shows how the relationship between the Friar and Romeo is Father and son even though they are not
actually related and through Shakespeare s use of anger, forgetfulness, and care does He show that the
Friar and Romeo have a paternal relationship for each other. The Friar use anger to show that he is a
father to Romeo by saying, Holy Saint Francis, what change is here! (2.3.67), and Hath wash d thy
sallow cheeks for Rosaline! (2.3.72). Why these quotes show that Friar is a father to Romeo is because
fathers are supposed to care for who you love and teach you to love correctly. The love that Romeo
feels for Rosaline is quick and not sustained. Friar, being just told this, reacts in anger because he
moves on way to quickly and loves another dropping all thoughts on Rosaline, completely forgetting
about that she ever existed. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

trying to get Rosaline back. Also if Romeo had never moved on we would have never met Juliet to

However, according to the examples shown, Lend Lease seems to have been following the unitarist approach which has in fact, escalated the conflicts between the management and their employees as shown in the article published by green Left. The article mentioned that Lend Lease did not made a sincere approach to the negotiation and offered something that the Union consider as a joke which did not loosen the tension but added more stress on top of it. Identify which one of the approaches provides the better explanation. Explain your reasoning. Based on the industrial action that has been taken against Lend Lease, it shows that Lend Lease was first using the Unitarist approach to their employees by not willing to negotiate with their new proposal. • 4. Intersectional Discrimination Against African American Women During Crenshaw s talk, she focused on the intersectional discrimination African American women face. She got her point across by having the audience listen to and try to recognize names of black men and women who experienced police brutality. I believe the main reason society has not recognized these types of victims is due to lack of media coverage. According to an article on USA Today, ...the data show that police incidents involving women of color occur at a disproportionately high level compared with media coverage. (Clark, 2016) Because of this lack of coverage, many people in society do not realize this type of crime is happening. The virus?s proper name is Variola rex, and it has various different forms as well as various symptoms. Among these forms are typical smallpox, hemorrhagic smallpox, and malignant smallpox, all of which usually always cause death in their victims. Some of the typical symptoms of smallpox include red vesicles and pustules all over, bleeding from all orifices of the body, swelling in the face, throat, and eyes, difficulty eating and swallowing, delirium, malaise, deterioration of the bone marrow, lymph nodes and mucus membranes of the body, and a multitude of other secondary symptoms. In the introductory stages of the rash the small bumps are filled with a clear fluid and are known as vesicles, but as the virus progresses the vesicles become hard and scab over. The fluid inside the vesicles turns into puss and the large bumps then become known as pustules. The rash becomes fully developed between 12 and 14 days after the symptoms of the disease appear. As the disease follows its course, symptoms become more and more severe and uncomfortable for the patient. Red spots on the patient begin to turn black, while others turn white, the individual experiences strong delirium, hemorrhages of blood at the anus, mouth, and nose, raw flesh from the stripping of the skin, and fistulous ulcers in the ligaments, body, limbs, and joints. Smallpox is also associated with the unbelievable amount of swelling and protuberance in the throat and eyes, which obstruct vision as well as the ability to swallow and perform similar functions. The virus also causes the rotting of the ligaments and bones. Because the smallpox virus attacks the mucus membranes, bone marrow, and lymph nodes of the body, most patients obtain the gruesome disfigurement of the face and nose and limbs.( Bollet 1987). The previous stage of the smallpox infection is known as the second stage, which is most commonly and not surprisingly a phase at which most individuals do not survive. Those that do ... • 7. Analysis of Jonathan Harr´s A Civil Action Essay Jonathan Harr wrote a compelling novel, called A Civil Action, on the actual events of a thrilling court case involving two major corporations and the families who were affected greatly. In Woburn, Massachusetts there were twenty eight children who contracted acute lymphocytic leukemia between the years of 1964 and 1986. The explanation for the contraction of the disease and even the death of some of the children was discovered in the water; two municipal wells near the town were found to be contaminated with toxic chemicals. Eight families filed suit against W.R. Grace Co. and Beatrice Foods Inc., accusing them for the contamination of the wells and the death of their children. The families only wanted an apology and the truth but when ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In a conversation with Schlichtmann, Facher stated, the truth? I thought we were talking about a court of law. Come on, you ve been around long enough to know that a courtroom isn t a place to look for the truth. Facher also stated, truth is found at the bottom of a bottomless pit. If truth is never found in court, it must ve taken a lot of nerve to take on the Woburn case. Facher s words provide proof that achieving victory is far more important than providing the facts and discovering truth, in his opinion. His actions and tactics indeed worked for him. Furthermore, the chances of the plaintiff winning a civil court case are low. When it comes to it, a settlement is commonly agreed on before a verdict is even presented. Schlichtmann didn t want the case and refused at first because he knew it was going to be tough. He explained his reasons for not wanting the case in his quote: The odds of a plaintiff s lawyer winning in civil court are two to one against. Think about that for a second. She was tortured during the days of this time period for being part of an underground Palestinian political movement. Stack s Palestinian friend was tortured for days, beaten, abused, threatened with rape by a barbaric Israeli interrogator. Although she faced strong hostility from the interrogator, she also faced kindness in the form of an anonymous Israeli man who sat with her hour after dark hour and attempted to help her get through the pain. This shows that an individual can interact with both negative and positive things throughout a conflict. Stack later faced a conflict when she wrote a feature about how the body parts of suicide bombers had caused a policy debate in Israel. Production is where children are pulling retention back from their memory and learning how to use that interaction in real life. In Steve Forbes and Elizabeth Ames book, Money: How the Destruction of the Dollar Threatens the Global Economy and What We Can Do About It, they do a wonderful job describing the biggest fears people have if the United States returns to a gold standard (Forbes and Ames 155). The first concern is that there isn t enough gold in the world to have a gold standard today. Based on today s global economy, including the U.S monetary base, that is correct but doesn t much matter. Having a piece of gold for every dollar on earth is a general misconception. There are plenty of countries that don t have an ounce of gold. As long as gold is used as a measurement tool, those countries can tie their currency to the U.S. dollar, which is then tied to gold. He also continues by saying that elderly citizens suffer a five percent functional decline for every day in hospital. This is a great issue; the fact being that Canada does not have enough long term facilities for the elderly population to stay in nursing homes is not being fair to the seniors of Canada. Theme Of 9 Jakhoo Hill Interplay of economy and human relationships in Gurcharan Das s 9 Jakhoo Hill constitutes the main theme presented through the story of two migrated families of Lahore after the partition. Here Gurcharan Das tries to explain how economy reflects in human relationships and thus constitutes the prominent theme in 9 Jakhoo Hill. The great economic and political questions of the time, the play set in, was to eliminate poverty through economic reforms and social changes. As happened in the European countries after the Industrial Revolution, so is experienced in the post independent India in terms of socio economic changes. • 28. Elements Of Network Security Essay Elements of Network Security Introduction The primary objective of a network security system is to, in a cost effective manner, balance convenient access to legitimate users and inaccessibility to attackers. In a nutshell, the goal is to prevent connectivity to anyone intending to cause harm to the network. The harm to which this paper refers can come in the following forms: 1. But these tools alone do not provide adequate system security – a policy for system users, as mentioned above, that is based on the identification and prioritization of threats and assumed threats helps to maintain the network s health. The key feature of the policy is an ongoing training program that teaches all users the importance and value of including safe system user practices in their daily routine. Users are more likely to follow security practices if they understand the purpose of the practice and the consequences when these practices aren t used. Added to the training is a physical and electrical restriction of access to sensitive information and areas to users who have no business purpose for using such access. To ensure that the preventive measures are functioning effectively, regular audits of the security policy are performed. Log on IDs are checked to verify their validity, and the users activities are monitored to determine if the policies are being followed. Detection The next element of a network security system is system violation detection, or intrusion detection. This is an effort, should a system violator manage to breach the security of the network, to catch the violation before any real damage can be done to the network. The most common approach to intrusion detection is based on the belief that violations can be discovered by looking for abnormal system usage, or scanning the system in ... • 29. Becoming A Better Writer Before, when an essay is assigned, I usually begin by free writing. Free writing is a technique in which a person writes continuously without worrying about spelling, grammar, or topic. Once I have brainstormed, I put it all together and organize them in a clean way. After I have finished my rough draft, I reread it multiple times, adding, changing, and deleting anything I believe can be improved. Once I think I have done the best I can, I write my final. Recently, my teacher has given me advice and helpful points on becoming a better writer. Writing is not a task that can get better over night; writing is an art. Even though it may anger some people, an individual must pursue their goal until it is achieved. For example, in the short story, The Destructors , written by Graham Greene in 1954, the gang accomplishes their ambition by performing an action that seems impossible and foolish. As the story progresses, the children are faced with the challenge that they could be caught by Old Misery. T and the others achieve their dream despite the risks and hardships. The character in this poem can be related to the character from Chris from the short story Horses of the Night. Chris dreamt big and always followed his dreams of being a successful civil engineer. When he ran away from home to make a living for himself, he would often take menial jobs and work hard for himself. As the poem says the American tradition of kissing moneyed ass, it related to Chris in the way that he would work hard just to try to make a living in a big city, even though he grew up in a small settlement. He left all his of his family and friends, along with his traditions and pride, behind as he left for Winnipeg. This sudden disappearance had a huge impact on Vanessa because she idolized and respected Chris, but as the same time, she was glad that Chris followed his dreams. The boy in the poem follows the same path as Chris, leaving everything behind for the big city and trying to accomplish something. When Chris was on the verge of failure, it impacted him greatly, whereas he would degrade himself for money. He took many jobs as a salesman, going around working for his rich boss, while he made little money. Chris had lost his pride and dignity trying to achieve his ambitions, and fails over and over. • 31. How Does Woolf Present Death In The Death Of The Moth The principle downfall to life is that it will unfailingly conclude in death. In The Death of the Moth, Virginia Woolf presents the struggle with mortality and the overall acceptance that death cannot be beaten. Using similes, metaphors, and personification to express the experience she has with a moth, Woolf is able to take a trivial occurrence and fill it with significance. Woolf encounters a moth flying near a window. While observing the moth, she compares it to a tiny bead of pure life because of its dancing and zigzagging, showing the ability the moth has to exemplify the liveliness of existence. Rather than declaring characteristics of the moth, Woolf states they are not gay like butterflies and not somber like their own species. She defines moths traits unjoyful and unable to fit into even their own kinds by contrasting it to other insects. As Woolf continues to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... First, the moth is content with life a feeling the reader may share with the moth. Woolf states that the moth enthusiastically appreciates meager opportunities to the full. The enjoyment of such measly opportunities displays the moth s primitive, naïve nature. This nature follows the moth all of the way until the end; the moth gives into death because it knows it s weaker. During the last minutes of the moth s life, Woolf searches for the enemy against which he [struggles]. There is no actual enemy present; death is personified as the enemy. The moth s body [relaxes], and instantly [grows] stiff and it [lays] most decently and uncomplainingly composed, showing the moth s acceptance of its impermanent life. Moths do not have the advanced sense to feel the sensation to appreciate opportunities or to make the decision to succumb to death. • 32. Essay On Alexander II And The Failure Of The Serfs Intentions of Alexander II and the Failure of the Emancipation of the Serfs In the 19th century it was estimated that about 50 per cent of the 40,000,000 peasants in Russia were serfs, who worked on the land and were owned by the Russian nobility, the Tsar and religious foundations. This had been true for centuries; in 1861, however, this was all changed when Tsar Alexander II emancipated the serfs and gave them freedom from ownership. Alexander s decision was based on many reasons, and did not have the desired consequences, for the serfs at least. Therefore, it is possible to question Alexander s motives for such large reform, which this essay will do and will also look at why the emancipation, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A large part of the problem was serfdom Russia needed millions of industrial workers, to free up land and to force the nobility to relinquish power to a certain extent. The Tsar was also aware that much of western Europe looked on serfdom as being akin to slavery, and looked down on Russia as a result. As one historian has remarked: The strip system, involving the use of antiquated farming implements and techniques, had long ago been abandoned on the agriculturally advanced nations. Its continued use in Russia was a major reason why the nation could not meet it s food needs. [1] Alexander was also acutely aware of the threat of a serf uprising. Despite the general contentedness of the majority of serfs, there were a significant number who were not happy, and many groups of political activists, such as the Narodniks, had begun stirring up discontentment. In a population of 67 million, Russia had 23 million serfs belonging to 103,000 landlords. Serfs therefore outnumbered their landlords by over 200 to one, and so Alexander was right to be concerned about what might happen should a large uprising occur. • 33. Oedipus Heroic Qualities I decided to write on The Tragic Hero In Oedipus Tyrannus because I know that there is a hero within the tragedy that he suffers. The epic poem know for his downfall by avoiding fate, which in turn can not be avoided, can be reintroduced as a gift from the Gods. Oedipus can be seen as giving the people of Thebes a man with heroic qualities and acting upon these qualities, versus being the result of a Laius curse. I will prove that journey is the real reason for the epic poem, with the process of foreshadows helping design the conclusion of the complete heroic persona. Oedipus has a the noble qualities of a hero to include courage, fearlessness, selflessness, and strong character. There a times in which his actions reflected these traits of being a great heroic example to the people of Thebes. There are few instances that will be sampled from the epic drama to draw the attention that the fate placed upon Oedipus make him more of a hero than a fulfilled curse. ... • 35. Essay On Biofilm Formation Biofilms are communities of bacterial cells. Bacterial cells become much more antibiotic tolerant by forming biofilms. Antibiotic resistance causes more than two million infections and 23,000 deaths in the United States every year. It is really urgent that we need to understand the biofilm formation so that we can develop novel antibiotics. People have found out that there are some signaling molecules, which are critical for biofilm formation. However, we do not know how the distributions of signaling molecules determine individual cell fate during tolerance and persistence development. Studying the spatial and temporal distributions of signaling molecules in single cell level will help us understanding the mechanism of biofilm formation. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Spinach was discovered using the Systematic Evolution of Ligands by Exponential Enrichment (SELEX) technique against DFHBI immobilized on agarose resin. People have developed Spinach based sensors against adenosine, ADP, S adenosyl methionine (SAM), guanine, cyclic di GMP (c di GMP) and GTP using existing aptamer sequences. A key challenge for RNA based sensors is that they normally function poorly in cells. This is because RNA is easily degraded by nuclease and also has poor folding in intracellular. Poor folding RNA can be contributed by many elements, such as the difference folding structures and thermal instability, or rely on ion concentration. Later people developed 49 nt long aptamer Broccoli, which has brighter green fluorescence upon binding DFHBI. Folding of Broccoli only needs low concentration of magnesium and the Mg2+ presents low amount in body so Broccoli can fold better than Spinach. Broccoli also has a higher thermostability than Spinach. Additionally, Broccoli does not require a tRNA scaffold to promote its folding in vivo. However, under cellular imaging conditions, Spinach and Broccoli show greatly reduced fluorescence compared with nominal brightness. It has been known that the fluorescence decrease of Spinach−DFHBI is not due to irreversible photobleaching like GFP. It is caused by reversible conversion to a non fluorescent state and the signal can be recovered ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Friar Relationship In Romeo And Juliet Have you ever had a father that wasn t actually your father? He was just a person who cared so much about your wellbeing that He was a father to you. William Shakespeare, author of Romeo and Juliet, shows how the relationship between the Friar and Romeo is Father and son even though they are not actually related and through Shakespeare s use of anger, forgetfulness, and care does He show that the Friar and Romeo have a paternal relationship for each other. The Friar use anger to show that he is a father to Romeo by saying, Holy Saint Francis, what change is here! (2.3.67), and Hath wash d thy sallow cheeks for Rosaline! (2.3.72). Why these quotes show that Friar is a father to Romeo is because fathers are supposed to care for who you love and teach you to love correctly. The love that Romeo feels for Rosaline is quick and not sustained. Friar, being just told this, reacts in anger because he moves on way to quickly and loves another dropping all thoughts on Rosaline, completely forgetting about that she ever existed. ... This was a better idea then trying to get Rosaline back. Also if Romeo had never moved on we would have never met Juliet to end the quarrel between the Montague and Capulet houses .
