This document provides information about a school in Póvoa de Varzim, Portugal that is participating in a Comenius partnership project from 2012-2014. 14. Hi! We are 6th grade class A.
We have school in the morning and
go to a music school in the
afternoon. We have got quite a full
timetable! Some of us are learning to
play the violin, the cello, the trumpet
and the classic guitar. We are very
hardworking students and we love
our school! Being part of this project
is very exciting, we are looking
forward to meet you all!
Within the English subject we
participate in many activities, such
as: European Day of Languages,
Halloween, St. Valentine’s Day,
Reading Contest…

15. We are students of the 6th H. Our class
consists of 30 students (13 girls and 17 boys)
with a child with Special Educational Needs.
Our ages are between 10 and 15 years.
We're glad we enter a new year with this
project.
Our class is very friendly, playful, humorous
and humble.
Our problem is being so talkative.
We are all committed to improve our behavior.
We are a united group and we like each other
very much.
Our favorite hobbies are: playing soccer,
surfing the internet, listening to music,
watching TV, reading, swimming, playing
computer, dancing, cycling and singing.
Our goal is to fight against cultural differences
and make us better people.

16. Hello! We are in the 6th year class B and most
of our parents are linked to fishing.
Our ages are between 10 and 16 years old.
Our hobbies are mainly playing football and
computer, but some of us also like dancing,
listening to music, singing and watching TV.
Within the English subject we participate in many
activities, such as: European Day of Languages,
Halloween, St. Valentine’s Day, Reading

Tacher Sofia Lima

17. Hello
I am Anabela Torre and I'm 40 years old. I am the coordinator of
the Comenius project in Portugal and I love it. I am a teacher of Art.
I teach students from 10 to 16 years old.
I live near “Póvoa de Varzim”.
I was born in France (Paris) and there did schooling until age 16.
And I was a friend of students of various nationalities (French,
Italian, Algerian, Turkish, Polish, Spanish ...)Then came alone finish
my studies in Portugal.
I met my husband, got married and had four beautiful children (3
boys and 1 girl). Later I taught in Paris and returned because my
kids did not like it.
So I feel I am an European citizen.
I look forward to projects like "Comenius" to embrace my desire to
meet new people, culture, customs, ways of thinking and acting.
And obviously meet other teachers / students to improve my skills
and general culture.

18. Hello! My name is Sofia, I am 58 years, I am a licensed teacher in Plastic Expression:
painting and ceramics, for 37 years.
I love my profession but the classes are too big, with 20 to 30 students per class, making it
difficult to reconcile a more individualized learning.
In addition to enjoy teaching I like to travel by motorcycle rather than by plane.
I know almost every European countries and Mozambique, Brazil, Morocco, Turkey,
Tunisia as well as the portuguese islands of Madeira and the Azores.
I like the sea, driving, listening to music, reading, going to the cinema and horses. I
participate in a contest of traditional coupling cars (carriages).
I decided to participate in this project to share and meet other colleagues from different
countries, exchanging ideas and opinions to create bonds of friendship and learn the
history and culture of its society.

19. Hi! I´m a licensed teacher in portuguese and english .
I´m 45 years old.
I live in Póvoa de Varzim…I’m married and I’ve got a son
and a daughter.
I am a citizen of the world! I was born in Mozambique…
lived in South Africa…in Paris…and in London. I love
teaching and interacting with other teachers, students and
people in general.
I´ve been teaching in several schools around this city.
Looking forward to new teaching experiences and making
new friends!
