This document discusses Marie-Hélène Fasquel's flipped classroom project on eTwinning with international partners from 2013-2015. The project aimed to engage students and promote creativity by combining ICT tools, authentic communication, and learning with peers from different backgrounds. Over two years, Marie experimented with flipping literature courses for 16 schools across 8 countries. Teachers shared resources online and provided direct instruction through videos as homework, allowing class time for interactive activities and discussion. The project helped research the flipped model's strengths and weaknesses for adapting concepts between international classrooms.
This international eTwinning project involved students ages 4-11 from 10 European countries. Over the course of the 2016-2017 school year, the students collaborated on cultural, scientific, and technological activities centered around the four seasons. They introduced themselves, celebrated European Day of Languages, cooked in the classroom, exchanged holiday cards and seeds, made puzzles, and more. Throughout the project, the students utilized web tools like Padlet, OurBoox, and Jigsaw Planet to share their work.
The document discusses the benefits of having a class blog, including giving students an authentic audience for their writing, allowing learning to continue beyond lessons, and teaching online collaboration skills. The document provides information about a guidebook for a 2-year Connected with the Environment project between 5 European schools. Module 1 focused on history and culture, with students presenting their personal stories and learning about their city/region through tasks like creating family trees, interviewing teachers, and researching local legends. Students documented their work in posters, videos, and other formats. The guidebook aims to disseminate the results of the project and inspire other teachers and schools.
The project aims to establish an afterschool English club in the local community. It would provide educational opportunities to help students improve their English skills and prepare for exams through activities, games, and workshops. Students would use English online to connect with international partners and learn about other cultures. The project would be implemented in stages, starting with surveying community interest and researching foreign programs. An afterschool program would then be developed and launched, involving regular meetings, workshops, and local events. Progress would be evaluated through student and volunteer feedback to ensure the project's sustainability. The final stage would involve students creating presentations and a blog documenting their experiences in the international project.

Gamification ideas like Plickers, Kahoot, and GooseChase are presented to make instruction interactive. A group activity prompts thinking about how to support the institution and students.
Mrs. Sawsen Werghemmi Abid presents on using project-based learning and ICT to teach innovatively. She discusses how PBL helps students develop real-world skills and digital literacy, which are important for future success. When combined with ICT, PBL promotes collaboration, communication, and critical thinking. Mrs. Abid provides an example project on bullying prevention where students created a class website to display their work, including videos, stories, and surveys. The website helped students gain confidence and connect with other schools. Mrs. Abid concludes that creating a class website has educational benefits for both students and teachers by improving skills, promoting collaboration, and creating a lifelong learning community.

Michelle Worgan is a teacher in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain who created a wiki project called "Food around the World" to have her students communicate in English with children from other countries. She implemented the project by setting up wiki pages to organize tasks, doing classroom activities, and inviting parents to participate. Students shared their work on the wiki and through tools like Skype, which motivated them and gave them a sense of pride. The project allowed for a more task-based and personalized approach to language teaching by having students express their ideas and exchange information with other learners globally.

For my internship, I worked at the front desk in the Office of International Education (OIE) for
the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay as their assistant. One of my tasks was to create visually
appealing booths to gain students’ interest and help promote study abroad. I would also sit at
some of the booths to answer any questions that students had and to share my experiences with
study abroad. Here are a few examples of what I did.
5. 5
Another project that I was asked to take on during the semester was to promote the OIE through
engaging in different projects within other organizations at the university. One of the projects I
helped with was called “The Mirror Project” created by the Diversity Task Force. I had to create
a mirror that displayed what our office thinks diversity is. For the mirror, I framed it with flags
from the different countries of our international students with a green phoenix in the center to
symbolize that even though we are all from different places, we are all Phoenixes. I then added
words that would be used to generally describe a person (brother, friend, student, etc.) to again
symbolize that our only differences are where we’re from, or the color of our skin etc. I then had
international students add these same types of identities in their own languages. And of course,
‘The Office of International Education’ was in the center of the mirror.
6. 6
Although I mainly worked as an assistant to the advisors in the office, I was also encouraged to
work on my own personal projects to help me develop the skills that I need in my future career.
Because I want to work with the social media and online content for a company after I graduate,
I was also tasked with the social media for the office. Each week I came up with the content for
Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. These are the calendars that we used to schedule our daily
posts.

GOST Chart for the OIE Social Media
Goal: Promote different study abroad destination
Objective: Receive 50 applications to study abroad for the winter break and spring
semester programs by December 2015
Strategy: Post content that interests students to study in another country.
Tactics:
Share pictures from study abroad destinations to attract students to
the different study abroad programs
Share different articles about study abroad destinations
Strategy: Utilize the experiences of other students to interest potential students to
study abroad.
Tactics:
Share OIE blog posts written by UWGB students that have studied
abroad
Share videos and experiences of international students at UWGB
Ask students to share their blog posts on their personal social
media to get new students engaged
8. 8
Here are some examples of posts that I created using publisher.
This post used 4 words from different languages that don’t have meanings in English that were
then paired with pictured from the OIE’s image library that were taken in those countries.
This is a picture of the British flag that I made as a background for some British slang to promote
our study abroad in London.
9. 9
I also used my artistic skills to create a turkey tail to attach to the plush Phlash that we keep on
the front desk in our office for a Thanksgiving post.
10. 10
I was also in charge of taking pictures of the international students during events that were held
in the office to share on social media. This was from our pumpkin carving event.
11. 11
What we post on Facebook is then also shared on Twitter. Here are some examples of posts.
12. 12
Many of the articles and tips that the OIE shared on their social media were found using
Pinterest. I would find interesting articles, quotes, travel tips, recipes, etc. and pin them to the
OIE Pinterest. Here are some examples.
13. 13
GOST Chart OIE Blog
Goal: Attain better student engagement with the OIE blog
Objective: Receive 20 blog posts from UWGB and international students by December
2015
Strategy: Utilize friends of the interns that have studied abroad to write posts for
the blog
Tactics:
Interns ask their friends to write posts for them
Have those friends ask other friends to write a blog post
Interns write a blog post themselves
Share links to students’ personal blogs while studying abroad
Strategy: Ask those students that engage with our posts on social media that we
know have studied abroad
Tactics: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
Strategy: Create a visually appealing blog to attain more interest from readers
Tactics:
Adding photos and videos to interest people to click on the post
14. 14
I also worked to improve their blog by changing the layout to be more visually appealing, and by
adding a new category for travel blogs written by UWGB students and international students.
Before I added the ‘Travel Blogs,’ they didn’t really utilize their blog, and had no visual stimuli
to interest people to read their posts. Since taking over their blog, I have posted a blog almost
every week from both UWGB students and international students.
http://blog.uwgb.edu/international/category/travel/
I also wrote a blog post about my experiences while studying abroad.
