B. Review
(Teacher Activities)
Okay class. If you still remember our past
lesson we will do a game. I have here a 2
box. This box is contains of a question and
the other hand is contains of a prize. If I play
a music the box you will passed into your
seatmate. And if the music stop you will
answer the questions inside on the box. Did
you get it?
1. _________is the difficulty faced
by an object/moving body to
undergo sudden stop.
2. What is the unit of momentum?
 3. What are the factors that affect
momentum?
3. Motivation
Very good! So now let’s move on to
your past lesson. I have here a real
object. You will only to do is to
determined what is this. Did you get it?
What did you think in our lesson for this
day? This real object is related on our
topic. Do you have any idea?
5. Momentum
6. Kg.m/s
7. Mass and velocity
Yes we did
None maam
If none lets proceed on our topic.
4. Lesson proper
Okay class. Our topic for today is all
about polarization. Do you have any
idea what is polarization?
Polarization- is an expression of the
orientation of the lines of
electric flux in an electromagnetic
field ( EM field ).
Polarization can be constant that is,
existing in a particular orientation at
all times, or it can rotate with each
wave cycle.
This one of the example of
polarization.
Polarization have a 3 classification.
Do you have any idea what are the 2
classification of polarization?
The 3 classification of polarization
1. Linear polarization
2. Circular polarization
3. Elliptical polarization
The first is linear polarization. Do you
have any idea what is linear?
Yes, it forms a linelike
diagonal,horizontal,vertical.slante,wave etc.
Linear polarization- A plane
electromagnetic wave is said to be
linearly polarized.
None maam
It forms of lines.
Second is Circular polarization.
Circular polarization-is an
electromagnetic wave is a polarization in
which the electric field of the passing
wave does not change strength but only
changes direction in a rotary manner.
Circular Polarization is counter clockwise.
The last classification of polarization is
Elliptical Polarization.
Elliptical Polarization-is
the polarization of electromagnetic
radiation such that the tip of the electric
field vector describes an ellipse in any fixed
plane intersecting, and normal to, the
direction of propagation.
Unlike on Circular it is clockwise. Elliptical is
counterclockwise.
4. Generalization
What is Polarization?
What are the 3 classification of
polarization?
What is Circular?
is an expression of the orientation of
the lines of electric flux in an
electromagnetic field ( EM field ).
1. Linear polarization
2. Circular polarization
3. Elliptical polarization
is an electromagnetic wave is a polarization in
which the electric field of the passing wave
does not change strength but only changes
direction in a rotary manner
How about linear?
And what about elliptical?
A plane electromagnetic wave is said to
be linearly polarized.
isthe polarization of electromagnetic
radiation such that the tip of the electric
field vector describes an ellipse in any fixed
plane intersecting, and normal to, the
direction of propagation.
III. Activity
I. Defined the Following
1. Polariozation
2. Linear polarization
3. Circular Polarization
4. Elliptical Polarization
II. Determine if the line is linear , circular and elliptical.
