This document defines podcasting and outlines its uses in higher education. It discusses using podcasts for both online and blended courses and has participants develop an activity or strategy for incorporating podcasts into their own courses. The agenda includes introducing new participants, sharing how podcasts are used in different disciplines and fields, and brainstorming categories and formats for podcast assignments. Participants are asked to design uses for podcasts in their own courses and prepare a script to record a podcast the next day. General uses of podcasts include on iTunes and for the pedagogy of podcasting in allowing anytime, anywhere learning and capturing instructor enthusiasm.
