This document provides information about the Pharmacology & Toxicology course offered by the University of Zambia's School of Medicine. The course aims to provide an understanding of clinical pharmacology and the pharmacological treatment of common diseases. Over 130 contact hours, students will learn about the pharmacology of drugs affecting the skin, reproductive, genitourinary systems and principles of toxicology. Assessment includes tests, assignments, clinical logs, seminars and a final exam worth 60% comprising two papers. Teaching methods include lectures, tutorials, clinical exposure and students are expected to actively participate and attend at least 85% of lectures.
