This document discusses the different types of plate boundaries including convergent, divergent, and transform boundaries. At convergent boundaries, plates move toward each other forming trenches and volcanic arcs at oceanic-continental boundaries and trenches and island arcs at oceanic-oceanic boundaries. Continental-continental convergent boundaries form mountains. Transform boundaries occur when plates slide past each other, forming tsunamis at oceanic-oceanic boundaries and earthquakes at continental-continental boundaries. Divergent boundaries form when plates move apart, creating mid-ocean ridges at oceanic-oceanic boundaries and rift valleys at continental-continental boundaries.
