WORK OFFICE SELF LEARNING ACTIVITY
1. Plan your green trip
This is a task-based learning project. Students work in small groups of 4, using Google
Earth to explore the globe and plan a travel itinerary while enhancing their creativity and
environmental protection. The students have to plan their travel itinerary as if they were
going to visit that place in real life. They will use websites to find real information about
accommodation, transportation, guided tours, restaurants, etc. They will have a certain
budget to spend and they should not exceed it.
Objectives:
⮚ To plan a real-life travel itinerary
⮚ To think of sustainable travel options and ways to be more eco-friendly when travelling
⮚ To acquire language through real language use.
⮚ To improve teambuilding and teamwork while communicating in the target language
(English)
⮚ To boost students’ creativity and problem-solving skills that will be useful in real-life
situations
⮚ To explore real websites and resources that will be helpful when planning a trip in the
future
⮚ To boost students’ intrinsic motivation and self-confidence when speaking in English

Plan your green trip This is a task-based learning project. Students work in small groups of 4, using Google Earth to explore the globe and plan a travel itinerary while enhancing their creativity and environmental protection. The students have to plan their travel itinerary as if they were going to visit that place in real life. They will use websites to find real information about accommodation, transportation, guided tours, restaurants, etc. They will have a certain budget to spend and they should not exceed it. Objectives: ⮚ To plan a real-life travel itinerary ⮚ To think of sustainable travel options and ways to be more eco-friendly when travelling ⮚ To acquire language through real language use. ⮚ To improve teambuilding and teamwork while communicating in the target language (English) ⮚ To boost students’ creativity and problem-solving skills that will be useful in real-life situations ⮚ To explore real websites and resources that will be helpful when planning a trip in the future ⮚ To boost students’ intrinsic motivation and self-confidence when speaking in English SUBJECTS ● English, Geography, IT 21st CENTURY COMPETENCES
