2. What does this include?
The ‘Planning for shoots’ covers requirements for:
Hair
Make up
Costumes
Props
Locations
3. Hair
The actors which we use to create our film opening will not
have to change their hair, as this isn’t an important aspect
to the characters in the film itself. More of the focus will be
on the action that takes place throughout the film, so
nothing will be needed to change the appearance of the
actors hair.
4. Make up
The Three characters that will be seen in our film opening will
be male characters that are quite masculine. Therefore we
have decided that our characters will not wear any stage
makeup as we feel this would make them less masculine
looking.
However we may use some sort of face paint to create the
image of blood on the character ‘Hector’s’ face after
‘Antonio’ hits him.
5. Costumes
The character Hector will be wearing some old cheap looking
clothes e.g. tracksuit, as he is the character who is meant to be
buying drugs off of Jason and Antonio, and we want to
establish the idea that he is very poor and therefore desperate
for money (to buy drugs as he is an addict), hence why he
agrees to try and kill Antonio for money.
Antonio will be wearing jeans a pair of trainers and a coat. We
have decided to dress him in this way as we want to make him
look like a casual character, who gets dragged into something
bad.
Jason could be wearing a dressing gown as he is going to be
sitting relaxing at home waiting for Hector to kill Antonio.
6. Props
Props which we will include in our film opening:
Mobile phone (Antonio)
Shoulder bag which is supposed to contain illegal
substance (Antonio)
Gun (Hector)
Mobile phone (Jason)
7. Locations
For our film opening we will use 3 main locations.
We will use a isolated public area e.g. a bench in a park for
the meeting point of Antonio and Hector at the point of the
exchange.
We will use the location of a housing area (housing estate)
to show Antonio running towards Jason’s house after Hector
tires to kill him.
Finally we will need an inside house location, where Antonio
will run to, in order to meet Jason (Jason’s house).
