This piece showcases Ounis's mastery of form and texture, as he seamlessly combines metal and wood to create a dynamic and visually striking composition. The juxtaposition of the two materials creates a sense of tension and harmony, inviting viewers to contemplate the relationship between nature and industry.

Brushstrokes of Inspiration: Four Major Influences in Victor Gilbert’s Artist...KendraJohnson54
Throughout his career, Victor Gilbert was influenced heavily by various factors, the most notable being his upbringing and the artistic movements of his time. A rich tapestry of inspirations appears in Gilbert’s work, ranging from their own experiences to the art movements of that period.
2. Prop List Costumes
-A pair of goggles (due to the fact that I
was unable to acquire a gas mask, this
and a green jacket wrapped around the
actor's face will suffice- whilst also
keeping the overall budget down)
-A bath (though, given the one I would
use, is in my garage is covered in dust , a
substitute will be used, this will be an old
refrigerator laid on it's side)
-A horn
-White Shirt (an old school one, this will
mean it won't really matter if anything
happens to it, there will be a plentiful
supply if more are needed and it helps
infantilize the character)
-Black Jacket (this will be a felt costume
cardigan type one)
-Black trousers (maybe of the more cargo
variety, as the actor is supplying these
himself)
-Black boots
3. Locations
■ The beach footage will be shot at Saltburn, initially I
had intended to do this at Huttoft, though an
acquaintance was heading out to Saltburn around
the time that I was intending to film and offered to
give me and the actor a lift, thus cutting down on the
fuel bill- and the location is far more suited to the
tone of the video.
■ The other locations won't require that much travel,
being that they're quite close to where me and the
actor live; this would be around the bus interchange
in Dinnington and around an abandoned nursing
home in SouthAnston (there isn't a picture on
google maps, but it does show the location).
■ The final location is my garage, so it's more
accessible and as a location there is more of a control
over it, therefore improving the mise-en-scene;
though, I'll have to spend some time dressing the set
to
4. Production Schedule
28th October 2015
-Prepping will take place at 3:00pm, this will allow
me to prep the actor and double check that all the
equipment is ready for use.
-Shooting will start at 3:30pm at the nursing home
to capitalize on the remaining daylight- the main
camera will be used first to get the long shots with
the handheld to be used second (as the main
camera is of a higher quality).
-Around 4:30-5:00pm, once it has gotten dark we'll
move to the interchange to shoot until 7:00pm.
-Packing up the equipment should take ten
minutes at most, so it should all be wrapped up by
7:10pm.
29th October 2015
-Prepping at 11:30am- this includes loading the vehicle
with equipment, before setting off at 12:00pm.
-Arrive around 2:00-3:00pm, do a quick scout around the
location (Saltburn) to make sure that we are making the
most of what the location can offer.
-Unload the equipment and start shooting at 3:30pm and
finish when it gets too dark to film (4:30-5:30pm), this will
give us an adequate amount of time to get all the shots
needed and an appropriate amount of coverage.
-Pack the equipment back into the car, this should take
ten minutes and take us to 5:40pm.
-Grab a bite to eat at a café or pub, then set off back at
6:30pm, we should arrive back around 8:30-9:30pm.
5. Production Schedule
31st October
-Prep the equipment at 1:00pm, pick the
actor up on the way to the first location
(abandoned nursing home) at 1:20pm, and
arrive at 1:30pm.
-Shoot for an two hours (allowing enough
time for enough coverage and to
experiment with different techniques)
then pack up the equipment and leave at
3:30pm.
-Drop the actor off at 3:40pm, then head
off home and unload the equipment at
3:50pm.
1st November
-At 9:00am, prep the location (garage), this
includes moving the fridge, removing it's door
and placing it on it's side- to make it appear
more like a bathtub; get the equipment ready
and start to plan out the blocking (given it's
quite a claustrophobic location). Preparation is
vital on this shoot day as I have to be in
Sheffield for 1:00pm due to a prior
commitment.
-Pick the actor up at 9:30am, with the intention
of starting the shoot at 10:00am and finishing at
11:30am- an additional ten minutes to put the
equipment back before taking the actor home.
6. Call Sheet
■ Apart from myself, the only outside
person I will need for the shoot will
be the actor, Nicky Bilton (see photo
to the right), he has agreed to the
times in the production schedule, to
provide some items for his costume,
and has been briefed in regards to
what he will have to do in the video.
