- 2. OVERVIEW Thriller Genre The lead male character is attracted to a girl at college. He is seen looking at her social media at looking at her around college. He wants to talk to her and starts coming up with plans to talk to her, however every time he gets close she looks at him and his day starts again. However he is drawn to her every day as he is intrigued to find out why this keeps happening and his day keeps repeating. We have taken lots of our ideas from the film 'Happy Death Day'. We took the idea of the day restarting and needing to find out a reason this is happening in order to stop it from happening.
- 3. Key Characters The female character is the suspicious character that has a lot of mystery surrounding her. She acts very enticing and mysterious towards the male character as this is how he is drawn to her. She appears of a high class and is popular around college. She wears a particular necklace that the male character notices. The male character is a very typical college student with very basic clothing. He is intrigued and drawn to the female character. He is attracted to her and keen to speak to her. When he canโt speak to her without his day restarting he becomes very confused and realises he needs to figure out why he can't speak to her to stop his day from restarting. He is shy and has struggled in life.
- 4. Promotional Campaign The USP we are pushing is the idea that his day restarts the same and he experiences the same thing every day whilst trying to talk to this girl. We will emphasize the relationship between the boy not being able to reach the girl in our marketing campaign. There will also be emphasis on the mystery and confidence surrounding the female character. And the intrigue of the boy and his confusion and motivation to solve what is happening.
- 7. Teaser Trailer Ideas: โข Montage sequence of the character waking up from the day starting over and over again, a variety of styles and shots can be used to give a very unique section. โข An establishing set of shots to show off the setting of where the narrative is going to take place. โข A voice over of the main male character narrating the situation and some description of who he is and what is happening in his life at the moment. โข A dramatic reveal of the female character and the effect she is having on the other characters that are involved in the narrative.
