This document discusses campaigns to raise awareness, copyright and intellectual property rights, illegal downloading and piracy. It notes that campaigns are used to educate people and raise awareness for causes like charities or public safety. Illegal downloading and piracy occur when copyrighted works like software, music or videos are copied and distributed without permission from the copyright holder. Several industries are affected by piracy, including music, films and pharmaceuticals. While viewing copyrighted works through legal means like theaters, TV or streaming services is allowed, downloading without paying for the content is considered illegal.

cinema and TV are all legal but ways on
the computer or laptop or tablet can be
illegal depending on how they go the
film.. If its on something like Netflix then its
LEGAL but if its downloaded without
paying then its ILLEGAL.

13. The graph shows that the amount of
illegal downloads have increased since
2006 to 2010 and this could be due to
better technology or people making it
easier to download film or sending films
to there friends that they downloaded
illegally.
The chart shows things about people
whether they haven't downloaded
illegally EVER or do it occasionally or if
the do it very often.

14.  Teenagers probably “break the rules” by
downloaded things illegally and sending
them to there friend via email, Facebook
or social networks etc.

15. Even though YouTube
users are instructed
to only upload
content that belongs
to them and that they
have the right to use,
copyrighted content is
still uploaded
thousands of times a
day. Under the Digital
Millennium Copyright
Act (DMCA), YouTube
isn't responsible for the copyright violations of its users, provided the
company removes that content when notified by the rights holders.

17.  The RIAA reports that music sales in the
United States have dropped 47 percent
since Napster first debuted in 1999. The
availability of free music has cost the
music industry $12.5 billion in economic
losses.

19.  I think illegal downloads IS a problem
among teens as most teenagers
download music illegally through
phone/tablet apps or onto the
computer through things such as
YouTube converter.
