Background for the poster was created using the cloud
effect on Photoshop, and then using the directional
light tool. I made a gradual effect of light to dark adding
more of a mysterious look.
This is what my poster
looked lie when I had
placed my three edited
images onto the
background and added
the film’s title
On Photoshop I
removed the
background of the
images using the
rubber tool and
also lightened the
faces to make it
more clear that
KYRA was the
character.
As this was a key
selling point.
I wanted the images to blend into the poster more as I felt that they were
taking away from the impact of the title of the film, and the images were
meant to be secondary.
I was able to do this using the Gradient feather effect.
I was able to change the angle of the gradient
feather, making the bottom of the images more
transparent than the top so that her face was
still clearly visible to the audience.
After I
used the
gradient
tool the
images
now blend
instead of
clashing
with the
title,
making it
easier to
notice the
title.
I originally didn’t use layers feature which
made it very difficult the more content I
added, with images and text overlapping, I
couldn’t move things around the page,
without it affecting something else.
I began to organise the layers on the
page. They are colour coded so I
could lock the ones I was not
currently working on such as
background or images.
I added some reviews from film
magazines
