Who are the people in the photograph?
1. I am assuming they are four boys who are German.
2. It’s a group of men in the military.
3. Businessmen pouring liquid into the street.
What is the situation of the people in the photograph? Provide evidence from the photo
that tells you this.
1. The boys are riding bikes down a road and doing the Nazi salute.
2. The men are in the army. You can tell because of their uniforms.
3. Maybe the men are trying to convey a message that they do not need this liquid because they
are pouring it out and look happy.
What message do you think the photographer was trying to convey?
1. Children were being raised in a way to think hurting people who were different was okay.
2. The military was not solemn all the time. The men look happy.
3. That maybe the Great Depression was ‘great’ for some people.
Why is this photograph important to history?
1. It has to do with the holocaust.
2. It shows some military men from a war.
3. It obviously has some sort of significance to its time.
