A phrasal verb is a verb plus a preposition
or adverb which creates a meaning
different from the original verb.
PHRASAL VERBS WITH GET
GET INTO:
Be chosen to go to a university or to join a
sports team.

EXAMPLE:
His parents wanted him to GET INTO university.
PHRASAL VERBS WITH GET
GET THROUGH:
Come to the end of a difficult time.
EXAMPLE:
I hope I GET THROUGH this aerobics class!

GET ACROSS:
Communicate an idea to someone.
EXAMPLE:
It’s difficult to GET your message ACROSS.

• Like and be friends with someone.
EXAMPLE:

• Continue doing something, especially work.
EXAMPLE:
