We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

Project title:
Project:
Project Description:
My magazine will be 40 pages long, including a Front Cover, Contents and DPS. I
feel this is appropriate for a rap magazine . For this project I am going to take
photos of my people or my rap magazine. These people will be aged 16 upwards
so that it reflects the target audience I have chosen. I will make sure that the
people I am using for my photos are reflective of artists in the rap genre, so they
will be wearing brands associated with rappers such as Nike and Armani Jeans,
as well as wear jewelry like gold chains and rings.
Photographer:
I will be the photographer when taking the photos for my Magazine front cover,
contents page and double page spread. The front cover will feature a medium
close up shot so the audience can see the aggression in my cover stars face. For
all of the photos that will be included in my rap magazine, I will make the lighting
high key, this is so that my target audience can see the person in each of my
photos clearly. Obviously when I take the photo their will be background, I will
take it with a clear background so that its easier for me to remove in Photoshop, I
may also use Photoshop to sharpen the image which will in turn bring the cover
stars features out more.
The denotation of the name of my magazine is ‘Rapture’. The verbal code
‘Rapture’ connotes an explosion of rap, which is what my readers will receive. I
feel this font is unique and bold, and this is the impression I want to have on my
readers. I especially like how the magazine name has the word ‘rap’ in it, this
emphasizes what the magazine is about. I particularly like the style of the R and
this features twice in the title therefore is important. The masthead being black
also connotes simplicity, and I want the magazine to be as simple as possible for
my audience to read.

Casting:
I will definitely use this person when taking photos for my magazine, this is
because rappers are stereotypically black and rap is also stereotypically a black
music genre. He had the sort of hair that rappers may have and has the
aggression in his face that I want for my front cover, he is muscular and
intimidating as well therefore makes the ideal front cover star.
These 3 pictures are my photos I want to replicate in my magazine when taking photos for my
front cover, contents page and double page spread. I chose these kind of photos because I feel
they will do the best job off attracting an audience. Two of the three rappers in these photos are
both wearing chains emphasizing how important it is for me to include these in my photos for my
pages. It connotes wealth and the lavish life style they live,. There stance also Indicates that they
are the man. And that’s what all rappers want to be.

Model requirements:
Wardrobe and Look:
These pictures represent the type of look that I want my cover star to have, I
want them to look like in British slang terms a ‘Road Man’ this means that they
are intimidating, ‘Road Men’ usually wear black designer clothes such as Nike
and Armani Jeans. This is the sort of clothing rappers wear also therefore would
fit perfectly.

Hair and Make up:
My cover star is black therefore has an afro, I will before the photo is taken
ensure he has a haircut similar to this as it highly fashionable and is the sort of
haircut a rapper would have.
Where:
The photo-shoot will take place in school, in the corridor where there is a clear
background so when editing the photo in Photoshop it is a lot easier to remove
the background. The background will be white.
When:
I will take the photo in my Media lesson on Monday week 2, I will do this because
I have checked with m cover star and they have confirmed they have this period
free.
When taking photos for my magazine I will makes sure my cover star is wearing
a gold chain and a Rolex these show wealth and this is what all rappers want.
These are the type of items associated with rap.
