3. Sitting Down – Group Experiments
Like the shot in the Simple Plan print advert, we thought of having the
band sat down which makes them more approachable and look more
relaxed which will appeal to the target age group and the pop/rock
genre
4. Individual Head Shots
I had an idea for my album of combining
photographs of each band member and
displaying the heads together in an
abstract way with a lot of editing. I got
this idea from The Script’s album cover.
5. Edited Head Shots
I decided that editing the photographs make them
more abstract which I found from The Script’s
album cover makes it very exciting. The seriousness
of the poses will appeal to the target audience of
and is conventional of the pop/rock genre.
6. Beginning to Experiment with
Compostions
I began to I changed the
opacity to make the
look at plain main singer stand
compositions out more and allow
him to be the focus
that I could of the audience’s
experiment attention with the
other two band
further with. members slightly
faded in the
background.
I experimented with adding red
and blue overlays to add a little bit
of colour to make it more exciting
without taking away from the
dramatic effect of the black and
white.
7. These photographs are all experimental ideas
that I will continue to work on and begin putting
into the format of an album so that I can see
how they work and get feedback.
